Parsons is now hiring a Senior ITS Engineer who works on infrastructure projects that change the fabric of our community.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Engineer is responsible for carrying out and lead the review and design of ITS and Communications systems equipment, Central System , and infrastructure for roads, urban, and Expressways projects in accordance with international and Local standards, specifications, and procedures.
The Senior Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Engineer is responsible for carrying out and Lead the review and design of Traffic Control Systems for Signalized Junctions.
The Senior Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Engineer is responsible for carrying out and lead the review and design of CCTV Camera Systems.
Completes a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within one discipline. The Engineer at this level is a fully qualified professional, proficient in the utilization of most engineering theories and practices.
Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.
Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
Providing ITS advice and guidance into various road and highway infrastructure projects.
Carrying out studies for the implementation and operation of ITS Applications.
Coordination with Clients and other disciplines.
Performs all required responsibilities and duties associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
BSc Degree in Telecommunications/Computer/Electronics/Electrical Engineering, MSc Degree would be a plus
Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) or Professional Engineer (PE) would be a plus
Minimum 10+ years post graduate experience in Design of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), Communications systems, and CCTV systems
Experience in the design and operation of ITS infrastructure
Experience in the design of Urban Traffic Control Systems (TCS)
Experience in the design of CCTV System
In depth knowledge of ITS, TCS, and CCTV Local and International design standards and procedures
Experience in the operation and maintenance requirements of ITS infrastructure
Experience with electronics and telecommunications systems as related to ITS, TCS, and CCTV
Knowledge of computer software applications related to ITS, and CCTV
Candidate with prior local experience with Consultants
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Excellent Presentation skills
Excellent Time and Work load management skills.
