Payroll Operations Manager, Approach People, Dubai, UAE

My client is looking for a self-motivated and results-driven general manager to manage their UAE Payroll and payroll related business activities and to develop and implement effective business projects.

Main tasks include allocating budget resources, formulating policies, coordinating business operations, monitoring and motivating staff, managing operational costs, ensuring good customer service, improving administration processes, engaging with vendors, hiring and training employees with our Internal HR talent acquisition department, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring financial activities.

How will you make a difference:

Manage Payroll team, finance and other supporting team within the UAE Entity

Ensuring and carrying out the correct and punctual domestic and foreign salary payments for all employees of the customers as well as the provision of all documents and evaluations, in accordance with the internal and external specifications and regulations (group and wage tax law) as well as (overall) company agreements etc.

Organization of the implementation of the correct and timely payment of social security contributions and wage tax

Be the main point of contact for queries from social security agencies and tax offices

Be the point of contact for all payroll employees for questions about payroll including salary conversions (social security, pension insurance, unemployment insurance, company pension scheme, etc.).

Acting as data controller in accordance with defined procedures

Ensuring relationships with customers and partners (media, logistics, etc.)

Provide coaching and training to all relevant employees to champion continuous development and improvements.

Ensuring budgeting, planning and controlling according to group guidelines

What will give you an advantage:

University degree or higher technical college and many years of commercial professional experience (at least 7 years) with expert knowledge in the areas of payroll accounting, time recording and remuneration management, wage tax and SV law;

Strong analytical and strategic thinking

Strong sense of responsibility

Reliability and organizational skills

Responsibility Regulatory Affairs (RA)

Fluent in English, Arabic, French

The Assistant Procurement Manager is responsible for translating the business plan into the material and service requirements of the hotel and planning and executing their acquisition, storage, and issuance.

Ensure timely availability of materials and services.

Manage and control purchasing systems and procedures to continually improve the supply chain process.

Promote compliance internally with established standards.

What We need from you:

A Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Purchasing Management or related field; with 3 years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.

Possess problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities with strong communication skills.

High degree of personal drive, self-starter and ability to work independently without regular direct management.

We are closely working with one of the Big 4 Consulting Firms in the Middle East who's looking to hire a Sr Manager for the Transportation Practice. This role will be based in the Dubai office and travel around the GCC region and globally upon project requirements. Over the last five years, they have won massive projects in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, UAE, Egypt, Jordan, etc.

As a Sr Manager, you will work with the leading transport operators, infrastructure developers, and investors advising them on strategic, commercial, and operational challenges. You will become part of a global organization offering deep expertise and strategic insights to clients in a multi-disciplinary working environment made up of inspiring people with skills ranging from technical experts to strategic thinkers. You could become an industry-leading subject matter expert or a trusted advisor to senior client management on a wide range of issues.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's and Master’s Degree in Engineering (Civil or Industrial preferred). MIM or MBA is desirable.

+6 years of experience in Consultancy, ideally in the Ports and Maritime industry for both public sector clients (national, regional, municipal governments and multilateral organizations) and for the private sector (terminal operators, shipping lines, or investment funds)

Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written). Multi-lingual ability is highly valued.

High customer orientation with the ability to understand the client’s needs and translate these into a commercial proposal.

Ability to manage a heavy workload and ability to work to tight deadlines.

Strong commitment to excellence.

High analytical and numerical skills.

Skilled in team management

Full availability to travel.
