The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Dubai office, to play a key role in the design of some of the most exciting built environment projects in UAE and internationally.

Working across a variety of sectors such as Education, Healthcare, Residential, and Retail, you will work within a team of specialist engineers and technicians and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to manage the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects.

You will develop new and nurture existing skills that will maximise satisfaction with our clients and ensure repeat business. The team will support you in doing this as you work your way towards gaining chartership status.

The Skills

Educated to degree level in mechanical engineer or building services engineering and having gained relevant experience in a mechanical engineering role within a building services consultancy context (ventilation, cooling and air conditioning, heating systems, fire protection etc.), you are already well versed in the use of relevant design software.

You have a solid understanding of the relevant industry codes and good practice, have experience of detailed co-ordination with other design disciplines, and have proven ability in both overseeing and producing creative, sustainable, and intuitive design solutions.

Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, excellent communication skills and programme management skills are essential.

Primary purpose of the job is to be a focal support resource for our customers, partners and outside sales team for their Isolation Valve enquiries. They will be responsible for working collaboratively with the outside sales team as a technical advisor and product expert. They must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all commercial and technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction

Your role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Qualify customer requests for quotation to ensure that a quote will meet the customers’ application and operational needs.

Prepare customer quotations that are on time, technically accurate, commercially verified, offering the best all-round solution

Convert the MRO replacement enquiries to Solution Selling opportunities by understanding customer pains and proposing value added solutions.

Maintain CRM data integrity for quote records and win/loss analysis.

Work closely with factories & BDMs to maximize local quote capability and improve quote accuracy.

Prepare quote in Oracle CPQ system and update CRM

Work with order management team to provide a clean hand over of orders with supporting documents and attend kick off meetings if required.

Achieve the KPIs set for the function like service levels (RDSL/PDSL) of quote response time & Hit Ratio.

Adhere to local and international Emerson trade compliance procedures in connection with all transactions and business practices

Fulfill any other reasonable duties as required.

SOCIAL INITIATIVE:

As a Mobile Hose Technician you will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales and service activities within a designated geographical area, This includes carrying out quality and safe hose assembly as required by the company and client, which are fit for purpose satisfying our customer requirements and delivery deadlines.

As a Mobile Hose Technician you are responsible for:

Generate revenue in order to achieve agreed monthly and annual sales budget.

Promote and use all product lines when and where applicable.

Conduct and promote professional services at all times.

Be able to prepare assemblies using a variety of hoses and be competent using equipment required.

Develop and maintain good relationship with new and existing customers in order to maximize company sales, and product/service capability.

Complete all sales related documentation i.e. costing sheets, quotation protocols, correct and concise job requisitions.

Ensure all documentation is completed correctly and is submitted timely, including collection of purchase orders (PO's) to support any transaction; these should be collected within 7 days of the sale unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Finance Department.

Ensure customers are charged correctly for fittings, material, or any other product and this information is recorded accurately manually on the delivery notes and in the Orion operating system.

Upkeep and maintenance of vehicle and all equipment (maintained, clean and hazard free) and carry out a daily check as part of van maintenance against the check list provided by Gates QA / QC; any issues should be reported to the Supervisor / Line Manager immediately.

Ensure a quick and efficient response to all client call outs at any time.

Provide 24/7 service year round to the customers within the designated geographical area and ensure organizational and client deadlines are met when required.

Responsible and accountable for any loss, damage or destruction of tools, machines, equipment or products in your mobile service van.

Be able to identify and use all types of hoses for the purpose specified by the customer order. Recording of measurements and stock usage as the jobs are carried out

Ensure all transactions are carried out in compliance with the applicable standards, Company Quality (ISO) procedures and provide advice to the QHSE Department of any non-conformance issues

Required Experience:

Ability to work under own initiative and solve problems.

Experience in or capability of managing a customer account and project management.

Must demonstrate an understanding of product application should have technical and trade background and should possess basic computer skills.

Knowledge on fitting sizes viz JIC, BSP, NPT etc.

Ability to choose correct hose, fitting and belt options based on information given by customer

Customer focused and self-motivated.

Should have Two to Eight years of experience in a Hose related industry.

Preferred to have Vocational or Technical Qualification

Should hold a Valid UAE Driving License.

Required Skills:

Ability to plan, schedule and prioritize the activities.

Ability to resolve common problems.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

Able to use hand/power tools and measuring equipment safely and correctly.

Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal (Arabic and Hindi would be an advantage) and to operate a computer system and generate system based transactions and documentation.

Professionalism and ability to exercise discretion with confidential information at all times is required.

Awareness of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards, policies and procedures.

Good numerical, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Awareness of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 & API Q1, 7K & 16C standards are preferable.
