Senior Security Officer
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Role:
The Senior Security Officer under moderate supervision provides security services and technical assistance to assigned project, jobsite or office. He / she will help to manage protection programs and compliance with specific governmental standards and/or regulatory requirements; develop and provide security plans, security criteria, and technical information to assigned project, jobsite, office, or functional/services unit; liaise and maintain an effective working relationship with assigned projects; advise Security and project management concerning security program progress, problem areas, and remedial actions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Security Officer will:
Conduct security surveys and audits to ensure compliance with security programs and procedures; identify and report discrepancies and recommends corrective action through appropriate reporting relationship. Inform immediate supervisors of the status of the security program and problem areas and provide recommendations for remedial action.
Implement project procedures for guarding internal security data to meet the standards and regulatory requirements specified by contracts. Administer security activities related to securing and controlling client proprietary information, including maintenance of security-related logs, registers, files, records, and reports.
Develop security guard instructions, security/emergency plans, security guard contracts, and other documents pertaining to the physical security of the jobsite or office.
Prepare and distribute security plans, reports, studies and surveys, as requested. Assist in preparing and coordinating emergency planning, programs, and procedures with project, jobsite, or office management.
Assist project teams in incorporating security technology and measures into the design and construction of facilities by identifying and interpreting specific standards and regulatory requirements pertaining to the project(s); reviews architectural drawings to ensure that effective security is provided and that specific standards and regulatory requirements are met.
Coordinate the investigation of questionable activities, identify violations, and recommend corrective action through responsible supervision.
Provide relevant technical security information, standards and regulatory requirements to personnel in assigned areas of responsibility; ascertain that personnel are knowledgeable of project security instructions, programs and procedures.
Establish and maintain close relationships with local law enforcement, intelligence and security agencies, and private sector counterparts to support the continuous monitoring of threat-related intelligence and the timely development of threat assessments potentially impacting the security of the assigned project, jobsite, office, or functional/services unit, and the employees who work there.
Assist in the preparation of security presentations for management and clients explaining the project, jobsite, office, or functional/services unit’s physical and procedural safeguards.

Requirements:
1+ year experience in a similar role.
Aviation experience is a plus.
High School Diploma
Good business English and general office practice skills are required.
Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.
Prior experience in administering basic security programs.
