Job Description

To ensure a smooth and efficient operations of the SeaWorld Abu Dhabi facilities in Zoological Department by safely fulfilling the duties in animal/guest interactions, animal training, husbandry, enrichment, general public presentations, and research.

This position requires standing in a prolonged period, moves/lifts up to 25kgs of load; also requires to work in varying shifts based on business need. This includes: opening, mid, and closing shifts, nights, weekends and holidays.

• Performs daily husbandry tasks including administration of vitamins and medication as directed.
• Prepares food, provides proper nutrition and constant care of animals.
• Maintains a safe, appropriate and sanitary living conditions for all animal habitats.
• Applies proficient behavioral modification techniques. This includes, but is not limited in developing and implementing new behavior, training of naïve animals with minimum supervision, training behavior to completion without supervision, proactively maintaining conditioned behavior, and the ability to form relationships with most, if not all, of the animals in assigned area.
• Ensures guests, personal, and animals’ safety through constant monitoring of the behavioral precursors of potentially harmful behavior by both animals and people.
• Assists on the training of colleagues and animals as directed by the leadership
• Provides proactive guest services through guest interactions, pre and post shows, and responding to guest inquiries.
• Performs assigned roles in education and general public programs, and guest interaction programs.
• Makes daily observations of animals and reports any abnormalities to the leadership team.
• Maintains all animal records, equipment, area responsibilities, and communication requirements on a daily basis.
• Functions as Ambassador by displaying consideration, tolerance, cooperation, open communication, and reliability; maintains a consistent attitude, motivation, and ability to accept feedback.
• Ensures all policies, guidelines, manuals and SOPs are followed at all times.
• Consistently practices safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations.
• Delivers department trainings as well as completes all required trainings; ensures in maintaining professional development and competencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Open Water SCUBA certified
• 2 years of relatable animal experience in a professional setting
• Ability to successfully pass an area swim test within the first 60 days of hire
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Basic mathematical skill
• Basic computer knowledge including MS Office and animal recording system
• Demonstrate an understanding of marine mammal husbandry and training principles and techniques

Desirable:

• College background in Psychology, Zoology or Biology is a plus
• CPR/AED certified

Job Description

Accurately maintaining vessel wise books of accounts for the company including preparation and posting of journal entries, validation of accounts receivable & payables, SOA reconciliation.

Process suppliers' invoices and agents' disbursements for payments, check invoices relating to Brokerage Commissions

Raising Charter Hire invoices as per the agreement.

Updating and posting of voyage & charter income.

Preparation of monthly vessel income sheet

Attending queries from suppliers and following up with various departments on Vendor payments.  

Monitoring and reconciliation of actual direct income and expenses against budgets.  

Monthly Intercompany reconciliation, review of trial balances & vessel operating expenses.  

Ensuring up-to-date documentation for Audit purposes.

Skills & Qualifications

Qualified CA/CPA.

Minimum 5 years’ experience within shipping industry

Understanding of port invoicing, pricing, and procedures.

Combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles.

In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Hands-on experience with accounting ERP software packages.  Knowledge of Danaos a plus. Proficiency in MS Excel skills a must

Job Purpose

To analyze, process and maintain Company’s financial transactions and records ensuring compliance with approved accounting standards and procedures.  Assists in preparing budgets, financial reports and financial analysis, and in coordinating with external parties such as government departments, banks, auditors and suppliers in order to facilitate function-related work as per Air Arabia adopted policies and procedures. 

Key Result Responsibilities

1. Maintains accounting controls and financial security throughout all the transactions carried by auditing documents, adhering to the approved policies and procedures, and alerting the manager with any abnormalities or discrepancies noticed. 
2. Ensures the accuracy and correctness of all financial entries carried by him/her in Finance ERP system in conformity with recognized financial dimensions. Documents financial transactions by entering account information in the system 
3. Handles all the fuel vendors’ invoices and queries timely and accurately; posts the invoices for approval in line with adopted procedures; interacts with users from other departments whenever necessary to resolve issues and obtain approvals and process timely payments without any delays. 
4. Executes all assigned accounts Debit Notes/Credit Notes ensuring timely and accurate posting to cost elements in Finance ERP System. 
5. Ensures that, fuel price notifications are received from all the fuel suppliers in timely manner, are reviewed with contractual terms and highlight to line manager for any discrepancies, fuel prices are updated in the system. 
6. Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing accounts information for the general accounts such as suppliers on monthly basis including Supplier Balance Reconciliations. 
7. Prepares special financial reports periodically such as the MIS Reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Secures financial information by completing data base backups. 

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)

• Bachelor degree in Accounting / Finance/ Commerce or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Professional qualification as an Accountant is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office- Advanced Excel
• Fluent in English Language.

Work Experience

• 3+ years of comprehensive working experience in corporate finance or accounting in any industry, preferably for a company operating on regional/multinational level. 
• He/she must have worked in a mid-sized organization operating on a regional/multinational level, preferably in Airlines/Travel/Tourism industry; experience with low-cost airline would be an advantage. 
• Sound knowledge in accounting cycle, process flow and procedures is a pre-requisite. 
• Possesses comprehensive knowledge in accounting fundamentals and systems such as SFAS (Statements of Financial Accounting Concepts). 
• Strong math and numerical reasoning ability and high accuracy are mandatory for this role.

About the Role

About the Role

As a Store Operations Manager, you’ll own the operations for our dark stores within an area, including building and leading our store teams, developing and improving operational processes, and feeding strategic inputs up to our central teams. 2. Develop & Optimise Processes: Monitor service experience and health, and in-store operations and challenges, to identify the biggest operational gaps, inefficiencies, and risks, and drive solutions in collaboration with various teams as required. To do so, you need to interpret and transform data into insights and break down operational and logistical problem statements to form tangible action plans. Scale this impact across markets by defining and driving implementation of best practices.
3. Lead Teams: Hire, develop and motivate a team of dark store supervisors across cities.
4. Product Development: Keep a keen eye out for new features to improve our operations and users' experience. Partner closely with Product Managers to understand and align the roadmap and individual features with business strategy commercial realities. Act to unblock any challenges to keep us moving at pace. 
5. Program/Project Management: Be a resourceful, go-getting multitasker, supporting or driving large, cross-functional initiatives across a variety of areas (product, ops, sales, marketing, etc)
6. Develop Relationships: Foster strong relationships with markets and functional teams to ensure efficient and productive working relationships. You will be the point person for your stores across various teams. 

What you’ll need
