Job Responsibilities:

    Supervise deliveries of products to customers across qatar in a manner that is cost effective & ensure high customer satisfaction.
    Supervise the receipt of inbound shipments to ensure goods received are in good condition and are as per the shipment note/invoice.
    Supervise the stock control processes in all assigned warehouses to ensure efficient and effective management of stock.
    Oversee the reporting and communication to the relevant parties to ensure the timely provision of information necessary for their decision-making and action.
    Lead and motivate the employees towards exemplary performance and team work in order to exceed delivery of results and be engaged.
    Carry out other tasks and activities which will support the team and company in meeting its targets and objectives.
    Supervise the warehouse team’s compliance to Security and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and practices to minimize or prevent accidents, loss, or damage of company properties, assets or life.

Job Requirements:

    Diploma or Degree in warehousing/supply chain.
    Three years relevant work experience as logistics Officer.
    Computer Literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
    Knowledge in Warehouse operations and best practices.

Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Logistics and Account Management Specialist to join our diverse team in the Dubai office. The Logistics and Account Management Specialist will be responsible for pivotal account management functions to support our customer base in the Middle East and Central Asia while acting as a liaison for other internal departments like Sales & Purchasing, Operations, Transportation, and Credit. The ideal candidate should be proactive, energetic, and have outstanding customer service & problem-solving skills.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

 

Account Management

I. Maintain customer communication regarding export cargo from various global origins to the Middle East and Central Asia region. This includes and is not limited to:

·        Status of cargo

·        Sending pre-shipment advice

·        Sending shipment advice

·        Sending copies of documents

·        Ensuring that the legalization process was correctly done if this is required

·        Updating customers about sending originals documents as required

·        Tracking of containers and updating about status to customer and any other relevant party

 

 

II. Work and communicate with internal departments including Sales & Purchasing, Operations, Credit, Transportation, and Customer Service teams to keep customers up to date on the status of their cargo.

·        Ensure the on-time delivery of customer products.

·        Assisting in solving problems and customer follow-up.

·        Provide data for claims when needed.

 

Logistics

 

I. Cooperate and problem solve with carriers, forwarding companies, and other entities requiring involvement in the successful delivery of customer cargo.

Essential Skills:

·        Outstanding customer service and communication skills.

·        High attention to detail.

·        Strong sense of urgency and aptitude to work under pressure.

·        Must be able to prioritize tasks.

·        You approach problems proactively, and your initiative and analytical capacity are one of your strengths.

Education & Experience:

 

·        University degree or higher related to business, banking, and ocean transportation experience.

·        3-5 years working experience in the field of logistics & operations and/or international commerce.

·        Export documentation experience is a must.

·        Understanding of International Trade.

·        Familiar with modes of transportation, ocean shipping, and documentation.

·        You need to have general knowledge of Incoterms and contract application.

·        Strong computer skills, in MS Office software and very proficient with computer programs.

 

Language Requirements:

·        The candidate is required to speak, read, and write in English and Arabic fluently.

Your responsibilities:
First and foremost, support the overall, daily management of operational duties. This will mean deputizing for the Operations Manager, as and when required: you’ll step in on their behalf where necessary.
You will be expected to prioritize and continually improve the safety at the delivery station. You will be supervising logistics assistants, coordinators and delivery associates to ensure that every shipment is delivered meeting and exceeding the set operational KPIs.
You will be monitoring the coordinator and associate performance and coaching them when needed, partnering with supporting departments to improve logistics processes and operations, communicating with our delivery service providers to set our expectations and raise the bar on quality on their deliverables.
You will be expected to interview candidates for associate roles.
You will be responsible for briefing and monitoring the workload of all drivers and associates. Therefore, you’ll maintain a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all administrative tasks are accurately and fully completed. Moreover, you will measure and monitor overall workflows and daily metrics. This will enable you to assist the Operations Manager with tracking, trending and reporting on site performance, on a regular basis.
In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you will also help with training and mentoring new Associates, ensuring that they are provided with the knowledge needed to successfully carry out their tasks. Further to this, you’ll follow-up on and resolve any process-related issues as and when required.
You are expected to be flexible to work in different shifts and to do overtime when needed.
Finally, together with the Operations Manager, you will sufficiently resource your function from a personal standpoint. Resourcing, in this context, means multiple things: call-outs for training needs, absence and performance management, coaching and continuous monitoring of department productivity and many more.
