JOB DESCRIPTION

`

    The QA/QC shall be capable of stand-alone QAQC personnel in projects with multidiscipline
    May be responsible for more than one task at a time.
    Develop all project QAQC documentation works including but not limited to method statements, ITP’s, Checklist etc.
    Attend material and work inspections with the client / consultant and clear comments raised
    Attend and inspect parts fabrication process assuring the work meet KLET quality standard and applicable rules, regulations, codes and standards.
    Review all documents related to QA/QC aspects for projects, technical tasks, fabrication, material, and parts receiving.
    Inspect material and parts as receive in company warehouse or any other premises,
    Support company department for QA/QC related aspects, issues, concerns, and work with company team to provide solutions.
    Attend non-conformance cases and be capable to clear them to the client satisfaction.
    Carry out inspection and checking for all quality-related procedures in the site and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan
    Co-ordinate with the consultant’s representative and department In-Charge for inspection and meeting about quality problems including the closure of Non-Compliance Report
    Active participation in ISO internal as well as external audits
    Documentation, 100% Traceability of documents, maintaining documents.
    Co-ordinate NDT activities and make NDT summary.
    Review of received filler and consumable Test Certificate (TC).
    Checking weld joint preparation, fit up, & dimensional inspection as per drawings
    Witnessing MPT, DPT and Reviewing of Nondestructive Test Reports.
    Attend QAQC site audits and respond to its related enquiries
    Attend and be conversant with testing and commissioning procedures related to the project works.
    Inspect KLET steel material and assuring heat number, marking as per related documents.
    Verify the documents related to material & parts in proper traceability and compliance with applicable rules and regulations and KLeT BOM/drawing/specs.
    Verify and assure availability of proper ABS class or any other class reports / documents as required. Coordinate with local class representative (ABS, etc) for any class related issues/communication.
    Attend the fabrication process within KLET qualified vendor’s facility on behalf of KLET considering KLET quality control / test / inspection procedures along with the applicable standards.  
    Perform Dimensional inspection per drawing.
    Inspect KLET parts and material for quality of material, fabrication, finishing, assembling and for accurate labelling and marking.
    Carry out visual inspection for material, parts, material under fabrication process, weldments and such relevant aspects.
    Follow up with NCR processing issue and process NCR, maintain NCR segregation area.
    Receiving and out-going inspection for parts and material.
    Maintain quality documentation control in separate files under track for proper traceability.
    The job summary is not limited to above, will be evaluated time to time and are subjected to change(s) as deemed fit.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Graduation in Mechanical Engineering with three to five years relevant experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Four years experience in project works in oilfield and or manufacturing / Fabrication industries.
    Must be familiar with applicable rules and codes with ABS, DNV. ISO 9001:2015 and NORSK
    NDT level 2 (DP, UT, RT, MPI) valid certification and 9001:2015 ISO internal auditor valid certification will be required.
    MRP / ERP software experience preferred.
    Proficient in MS windows and MS Project.
    Ability to speak effectively with customers, vendors and employees at all level within the organization
    Strong organizational skills
    Fluency in English Language to read, write and speak is a must, fluency in other languages will be an advantage.
    Proficiency in technical reading and writing.
    UAE / International driver’s license will be requirement.
    Work with minimum supervision.
    Able to work under pressure efficiently.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Reviewing/Approval of all Quality related documents like, MTC, ITP, PQR, WPS, Procedures, data sheets, etc., from the Vendor/Supplier.

·        Witness for the Qualification of PQR/WPS, WQT from Vendor/Supplier.

·        Perform all daily inspection and test of the scope and character necessary to achieve the quality of Fabrication/construction required in the drawings and specifications for all works under the contract performed.

·        Perform the co-ordination with Vendor Inspector’s/TPI’s for the Inspection and test activities.

·        Carry out inspection and check for all quality-related procedures in the Fabrication shop/Site and ensures activity at the Fabrication shop/Site are as per approved drawing and inspection test plan.

·        Coordinate with the consultant’s representative/TPI and Vendor Representative for inspection and meeting about quality problems including the closure of the Non-Compliance Report.

·        Report to the Sr. QA/QC Engineer/QAQC Manager, control and monitor all activities related to the Quality Management System.

·        Carry out/Supporting, Surveillance (or) Quality Audit at the Fabrication shop/Site as scheduled in the Project Quality Plan.

·        Liaise the Technical Engineer’s (All Discipline) for Reviewing/Approval of Vendor submittals.

·        Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered, and other QA/QC documents.

·        Responsible for the closure of Non-conformance, Nonconformance Report, and Site Instruction.

·        Attend regular meetings with clients and consultants and update all parties on project progress

·        Organize with Vendor/Supplier QAQC for Manufacturing activities of Equipment’s, Structures, etc.,

·        Co-ordinating/Supporting to the Site QAQC team for related activities.

·        Witness for Equipment Proof test/Hydro test in Fabrication/Construction Site.

·        Witness for Rotating Equipment FAT/SAT inspections in Fabrication/Construction Site.
Requirements

·        Bachelor’s Degree in a Mechanical Engineering discipline (Preferred) Should have certificate for ASNT LEVEL ΙΙ RT, UT, PT & MT.

·        Should have certificate for CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector.

·        Should have certificate for ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor

·        Should have certificate for NACE/BGAS Gr.2

·        Painting Inspector (Not Mandatory)

·        Minimum 15 years working experience in the Mechanical/Piping/Equipment/Structure Fabrication/Construction Industry.

·        At least 8 years of experience in the same role (mentioned above) in International and modernly organized companies.

·        Should have familiar with International Codes and Standards like ASME, API, ASTM, EN BS, ISO, SSPC, etc.,

What will I be doing?

This role will be technically home based but will travel over 90% of the time conducting quality assurance audits for hotels (primarily focused on but not limited to) Turkey and the Middle Eastern Region. Ideally, applicants will have fluent Turkish language skills.

This position will travel daily to evaluate hotels and collaborate in protecting the integrity of the Full, Focus & Lifestyle Brands. The position will ensure effective auditing in terms of cleanliness, condition, service, guest safety, hotel openings, and brand standards. The Manager, QA Auditor will conduct a review of the audit with the General Manager of the property prior to leaving the hotel and generate reports with images of the inspection for analysis by numerous parties.

•    This position requires the Auditor/Manager to have strong communication skills to provide QA support and guidance for owners, operators, general managers, vendors, and corporate liaisons.  
•    Perform routine Quality Assurance evaluations.
•    Address inquiries and communications made internally, both verbally and in written communications inclusive of inquiries from General Managers, Auditors, Owners, Sr. Directors, Vice Presidents, Brand teams, Architecture, Design & Construction, and Human Resources.

About you

    Strong knowledge of key HR frameworks such as employment law, organizational planning, organization development and talent management.
