What You Will Do
As a Senior Technician, you will serve as the primary on-site expert for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning of chillers and HVAC systems. You will ensure all technical tasks are executed efficiently, in compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications, while also mentoring junior technicians and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
How You Will Do It
Perform installation, testing, commissioning, and repair of chillers and HVAC systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
Diagnose system malfunctions and execute corrective actions within defined timelines and service level agreements.
Conduct planned maintenance and respond to service requests as dispatched, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
Interpret and analyze technical documentation including electrical schematics, piping diagrams, psychrometric charts, and troubleshooting manuals.
Prepare detailed technical reports, including root cause analysis (RCA) for system failures, and provide recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure all work is documented accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior technicians and coordinate team activities on multi-person assignments.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Johnson Controls’ product lines and industry best practices.
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations at all times.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and professional conduct.
Required
What we look for
Diploma or technical certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, or a related field.
5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in HVAC and chiller systems, with a strong background in field service, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers (air-cooled and water-cooled), and integrated control systems.
Proven ability to read and interpret complex technical documents and schematics.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Customer-focused with a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
