About the role
Supply Chain Planning: Develop and implement the processes needed for running effective operations, work with other departments to gather crucial data, and coordinate supply chain activities with corporate objectives.
Logistics and Distribution: Plan and coordinate all transportation-related tasks, such as delivery on time, reverse logistics, and first mile logistics. Streamline LMD operations and delivery networks.
Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of processes. Regularly analyze data and generate reports to identify areas for improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and supply chain risks.
Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of warehouse, and delivery associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions in the Last Mile Delivery.
Requirements and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., Certified Supply Chain Professional -CSCP) are a plus.
Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and industry trends.
Proficient in using supply chain management software and tools (Last Mile Management Tools specifically)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.
Good command on analytical and business software (Excel, Word, Power Point, SAP etc.)
The candidate should possess the ability to recruit, train, and effectively manage a team of delivery associates.
The candidate should have prior experience in successfully managing last mile operations in their previous roles.
