Job description
Responsibility
Peer Reviewing of the IFC package and being well aware about all
design details.
Support the Construction Manager reviewing the construction methodology.
Prepare a log for all Structural submittals/ WIR’s/RFI’s.. and monitor approval process.
Review the Shop Drawings and ensure compliance with IFC and codes.
Distribute the WIR’s on inspectors and ensure timely release to Contractor.
From time to time visit the site to ensure work is ongoing as per Shop Drawings.
Assist the HSSE in maintaining the safety at site.
Support the QC/QC engineer in quality issues.
Review Contractor’s proposals and provide feedback.
Suggest Value Engineering ideas when possible.
Review Design Verification provided by Contractor for any potential changes on design.
Review and approve the alternative construction/material/ systems proposed by Contractor.
Profile
Skills
Capable of operating as technical lead as well as team member as scope and range of project interaction alters accordingly.
Proactive action in resolving design/site issues.
Capable to manage the structural design/site staff.
Comprehensive knowledge of the design & construction of heavy civil structural engineering and in depth understanding of how this expertise integrates into a complete project
Experienced with structural engineering software including ETABS,SAFE.SACS, Strucad, Ansys, Abaqus, Inventor, Nastran (Femap), SAP 2000.
Experienced in dealing with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM models.
Has completed one similar project from beginning to handing over in KSA.
Proven experience working to tight deadlines within a changing environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent judgment, assertiveness and diplomatic skills
Demonstrated ability in managing conflict in high-pressure situations.
Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in technical report writing as well as oral and written communication skills.
Professional level in using MS Office Suite is a must.
