Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Direct and control all subordinate engineering staff to ensure that all day to day operation matters are handled on time and that guest expectations are met.
Maintain facilities and equipment by conducting routine inspections and determining appropriate rectification measures.
Maintain systems to be able to handle day to day guest requests quickly and efficiently.
Plan and schedule appropriate on-going preventative maintenance programs.
·To be aware of all fire, health, safety, emergency and security procedures in the hotel.
·To adhere to the Department and Hotel’s standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
Previous experience in a similar leadership role within a similar hotel brand or business.
Strategic, creative and bale to communicate effectively.
Proficient in all aspects of building operations and facilities management
A proven leader who is able to inspire others and drive change
Strategic Planner and proficient in making annual operating budget for the department
·Must have strong interpersonal skills with attention to details
·Strong written and verbal communication skills
·A team player with a positive attitude
·Strategic thinking combined with the ability to move strategy to action
·Problem solving skills
·Managerial / Leadership skills
·Self-motivated, creative and confident, with a highly energetic personality
·Creative, independent, and manages stress gracefully
·Ability to meet deadlines consistently
·Pro-active and taking initiative
·Must be organized and ability to work and follow systems and procedures
·Must be adaptable to change of strategy, ideas, systems etc.
·Proficiency in organizational planning with the ability to multi-task
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
·Minimum 3 years experience in Dubai
·Experience in government processes.
·Fluency in Arabic, written & spoken is an added advantage
·Fluency in English and other languages, written and spoken, is preferred
