This is a transformational project for the United Arab Emirates and the wider gulf region, providing a transportation backbone for freight and passengers as part of the UAE’s strategic growth plan.

The railway will redefine logistics and transport in the region, providing a modern, safe, efficient and sustainable network which will connect the seven emirates of the UAE to its neighbouring GCC countries.
As a Rolling Stock Engineer, you will work as an integrated member of the Design Review and Construction Supervision team. You will ensure client satisfaction and help strengthen our project delivery capabilities.
You will be experienced in design review, construction supervision, testing and commissioning, and implementation activities for the new rolling stock fleet. The rolling stock fleet will comprise of new diesel multi-unit (DMU) passenger trainsets, new locomotives, variety of new wagons and yellow plant maintenance of way equipment. You will be reporting to the Rolling Stock Lead, based in Abu Dhabi, and travel to other countries will be required from time to time. In addition, your duties will include but not limited to:
Review design documentation produced by rolling stock Suppliers for compliance with Contract specifications, requirements, and International Standards.
Coordinate design review activities with rolling stock suppliers and other Design and Build Contract packages.
Coordinate activities for the development of interfaces between the rolling stock and other Design and Build Contract packages.
Coordinate rolling stock system assurance activities with other system assurance works.
Coordinate and follow up on construction supervision activities of passenger trainsets, locomotives, wagons, and yellow plants.
Perform onsite inspections and witness testing of the rolling stock.
Review test procedures and test reports from site tests.
Coordinate on site testing and commissioning activities.
Participate and co-ordinate the meetings regarding rolling stock design review, construction supervision, and testing activities.
Prepare and issue Minutes of Meetings.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
As a successful candidate you will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (either Mechanical or Electrical)
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in rolling stock, ideally including experience with diesel multi-unit passenger trainset.
Good knowledge of structural analysis.
Good knowledge of key subsystems (HVAC, Traction, Brake Systems, onboard Signalling).
Good Knowledge and management of design reviews, Systems Assurance, and rolling stock testing.
Knowledge of rolling stock maintenance and failure analysis.
Ability to work autonomously
Strong written and spoken English
