The Role

The Construction Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing civil engineering aspects of construction projects within BAPCO’s operations. This role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards, managing site activities, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.

The key objectives for this role are:

• Supervise and manage civil construction activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and plans to ensure accuracy and feasibility before execution.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, API, ASTM) and safety regulations.
• Monitor material usage, procurement, and inventory to prevent delays and cost overruns.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure structural integrity and adherence to design specifications.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a hazard-free work environment.
• Prepare progress reports, documentation, and updates for project stakeholders.
• Assist in troubleshooting construction challenges and recommending solutions.
• Liaise with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies as required.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

• Oversee site-based civil construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines .
• Manage daily operations and coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project teams for smooth execution.
• Conduct risk assessments , troubleshoot challenges, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Perform quality control inspections to ensure high construction standards.
• Monitor material procurement, usage, and inventory to optimize resources.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and progress updates for stakeholders.
• Provide technical expertise in civil engineering design, material selection, and structural integrity.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and site personnel, ensuring a knowledgeable workforce.
• Liaise with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project execution.

Expected:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in civil construction within the oil & gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and industry codes.
• Experience in offshore/onshore projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

REGIONAL SALES MANAGER, Gulf Air, Bahrain

We need a REGIONAL SALES MANAGER,
MAIN OBJECTIVES

To drive revenue growth and expand market share within the designated region by developing and executing effective sales and marketing strategies. The Regional Cargo Sales Manager will manage key client relationships, analyze market trends, optimize cargo space utilization, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, aligning with the airline's overall commercial objectives.

MAIN DUTIES

1. Develop pricing and inventory control strategies for dedicated routes to maximize yields and revenue at both route and network levels.

2. Ensure the profitability and marketing visibility of cargo routes.

3. Monitor market prices in the assigned territory and recommend policies to the Manager of Cargo Revenue Management and the Manager of Sales Development & Performance.

4. Discuss pricing policies with outstation Country Managers, Cargo Managers, and General Sales Agents, considering load factors, yield control, competitor pricing, and station revenue performance. Recommend actions to the Department Head to achieve revenue targets and market share.

5. Communicate strategies and initiatives to pricing and inventory analysts, ensuring policies are reflected in market and route pricing, inventory class allocation, and capacity management.

6. Ensure rates are accurately uploaded to the Cargo Spot system.

7. Liaise with the Cargo Revenue Department to ensure pricing data is correctly formatted and transferable to avoid duplication.

8. Develop methodologies to automate the handling of spot rates from outstations.

9. Utilize sales reporting modules, operational/financial reports, booking statistics, and historical data to evaluate pricing levels.

10. Analyze key performance data at flight, route, and market levels, implementing inventory control initiatives to improve yields and revenues.

11. Prepare ad-hoc presentations to communicate major issues and activities to senior management.

12. Review market intelligence reports on competitor activities and take necessary actions to minimize their impact on Gulf Air cargo sales.

13. Monitor competitor activities on fuel and security surcharges, adjusting Gulf Air's rates to remain competitive.

14. Assist in developing station budgets and targets.

15. Implement pricing policies promptly, ensuring they are transferred to the Cargo Spot system for accurate Airway Bill pricing.

16. Be available to cover markets during weekdays and holidays.

17. Maintain knowledge of markets in other regions to provide coverage in the absence of other job holders.

18. Review inventory control KPIs (overbooking, flown as booked, canceled bookings) with the Department Head and develop strategies to improve station performance.

19. Monitor the performance of the Cargo Spot system, adjusting system parameters to ensure optimal inventory control.

20. Create and maintain a commercial database in the Cargo Spot system, including station/regional files, private rate files, corporate account files, and ad-hoc entries.

21. Generate and analyze revenue data from the Cargo Spot system, including revenue by flight, shipment, station/route, key account, and commodity/rate type.

22. Continuously evaluate cargo revenue for each station and route, identifying negative trends early and recommending corrective measures.

23. Participate in evaluating cargo space allocation requests to improve yield and overall revenue.

24. Provide guidelines for prioritizing cargo space on critical flights in the assigned territory.

25. Recommend pricing structures.

26. Liaise with Commercial Planning, Scheduling, and Movement Control to ensure major changes in capacity, schedules, and connectivity are communicated and appropriate actions are taken.

27. Identify Gulf Air's strengths and weaknesses across the region and recommend short-term initiatives to maximize opportunities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Sales, Business Administration or equivalent.

2. Minimum 2 Years of experience required.

Job Summary

The incumbent is to achieve assigned revenue targets through sound provision of treasury solutions to Retail Banking Clients and/ or Relationship Managers in order to meet clients’ desired investment objectives and increase bank’s share of wallet.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for meeting assigned targets and contribute to Capital Markets Product Solutions (CMPS )budgets on Structured Notes, Fixed Income, Forex (FX) and Equities related products.
• Proactive engagement with Relationship Managers (RMs) in marketing Capital Markets Product Solutions (CMPS) products and enhance business turnover and profitability.
• Strengthen retail clients’ customer base product penetration in the increasingly important Capital Markets Product Solutions (CMPS) product suite.
• Provide timely market updates and accurate product information to clients and stakeholders.
• Monitor market movements and provide regular and timely feedback to clients.
• Offer appropriate solutions within clients’ risk profile and investment objectives.
• Ensure prompt and accurate execution of clients’ orders through systems and/or market desks as may be applicable.
• Facilitate book-building of treasury products.
• Actively train Relationship Managers (RMs) in Capital Markets Product Solutions (CMPS) products and ensure systems are being effectively and efficiently utilised.
• Keep abreast of competitors’ tactical mapping, pricing, product offerings and market intelligence.
• Work on frontline and client campaigns and initiatives with segments and data insights to drive Capital Markets Product Solutions (CMPS) products and revenue.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies as applicable.
• Project a high level of professionalism in all client engagements to uphold image of the Bank.

• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Work in the Treasury Sales Specialist function to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Guidelines: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.]
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years’ relevant working and sales experience in treasury sales covering Retail/Priority Banking segment.
• Strong aptitude for sales, business prospects management and deal closure.
• Extensive knowledge of financial markets products such as but not limited to Structured Products, Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income and Equities.
• Knowledge of operational, tax, regulatory issues.
• Excellent communication, sales and presentation skills.
• Self-motivator who is keen to upgrade, improve personal knowledge and skills to meet job requirements.
• Ability to work without supervision.
