Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to join our award-winning team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

 

This position is responsible in performing geotechnical design of new and existing civil structures such as retaining walls, culverts, bridges foundation, superficial foundations, piled foundation and shoring structures.

Responsibilities

We envisage success in this role to include;

Preparing geotechnical specifications.

Evaluating Field & laboratory Tests and providing recommendations on the most suitable method to assess materials.

Geotechnical reporting including soil design parameters, bearing capacity and settlement calculations.

Supervision of soil and rock laboratory testing.

Advising appropriate Ground Improvement Methods like Sand Replacement, RIC, Dynamic Compaction and Stone Column.

Assisting in obtaining design approval from authorities/agencies. 

Responsible for setting-up geotechnical investigation planning including costs and programming and for the review of geotechnical information coming from GI results.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include at-least 9 years experience in a consultancy environment partnered with a Bachelors degree in Engineering.

 

Membership of transportation professional institutions or professional accreditations such as IEng, CEng or PE will be viewed favourably.

Join our Services_EMEA  team within Services division in United Arab Emirates as Junior Tendering Engineer  to  be a part of Fast-growing Service Organization in Sulzer Pumps Middle East.

 

Purpose of the job - preparation of parts tenders and provision of front-end sales support in respect of client enquiries in order to meet the objectives of the company's overall business plans and strategies.

 

In this role you will be accountable for:

Ensuring that the sales team are adequately supported and that tenders are launched in a timely and professional manner;

Overall responsibility to ensure that initiated projects meet company requirements in terms of spare parts selection, pricing, terms and conditions and lead time;

Overall responsibility to ensure that customer requirements are satisfied whilst meeting local & EMEA targets;

Overall responsibility to ensure that tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign off in accordance with the delegation of authority guidelines;

Overall responsibility for maintaining the profit margin on tenders;

Day to day review of enquiries in conjunction with the Tendering Manager;

Overall responsibility to ensure that Order Entry documentation is completed in accordance with handover guidelines and procedures and company KPIs;

Ensure that handover meetings with projects are effective and result in a smooth transition from pre to post order status;

Ensure of application of Sulzer tools and policies, procedures, codes of conduct and best practice guidelines;

Support EMEA Sales Team as directed by Management;

Attend clarification meetings with clients as required;

Participate in and actively support company initiatives.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Relevant experience within Pump Industry (1-3 yrs.);

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Graduate Engineering; 

Aftermarket experience;

Experience of dealing with spare parts tenders;

Experience of contract negotiation in a commercial environment;

General computer skills;

SAP knowledge;

Communication & negotiations skills;

Customer service skills;

Organization skills;

Ability to act independently, flexibility and ability to adapt to change;

Attention to detail.

Desk Engineer / Demand Planner, Parker Connect, UAE

Scope of work: Responsible to co-ordinate customer related services including but not limited to:

(Onshore & Offshore)

? Operations – Allocation / Manual Reservation (MR) / Dispatch

o Receipt and tracking of Tubular Allocations

o Daily Drilling Report (DDR) Review and Operations status tracking

o Management of MR’s and uploading data into inventory system (Tubestream)

o Modified Goods Management (perforated, coated pipe etc.)

o Inspection Planning with VMI Operations (Ops) team

o Communicate with each Drilling Supervisor (DS) to confirm delivery dates

o Dispatch and trucking management from yard to delivery point

o Arrangement of Transportation docs if required (Gate Pass Form, Permit etc.)

o Preparation of Delivery Note (DN) and handover to Ops

o KPI monitoring and keep tracking.

? Operations – Rig Returns (RR)

o Receipt of RR requests

o Negative Reservation (NR) receipt and verification prior to booking trucks

o Truck booking with Transporter (DSV, Cardiff etc.)

o Dispatch and trucking management from delivery point back to yard

o Tool Service yard backloads and inspection report submissions to QA/QC.

? Operations – Delivery Notes (DN)

o Creation, review, and management of DN’s

o Management of unsigned DN’s through to PIC for signature

o Follow up with transporter(s) for unsigned DN’s

o Completion of fully signed DN’s from all third-party deliveries

o Submission and follow up with (local agent).
