About the Role & Team
We are looking for a proactive individual to help drive registration and engagement for IDC's conferences and events across the Middle East.

The Audience Development role requires a combination of marketing acumen, sales tele-calling, and customer service skills to build and nurture relationships with attendees and potential leads, contributing to the success of our events mainly across the GCC region (mainly UAE and Saudi Arabia but also Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and additional countries such as Egypt).

What You’ll Do

• Proactively secure registrations through telephone follow-ups, keeping registration lists up-to-date and providing insightful reports on registrants' demographics, industries, and other key metrics.
• Manage and mentor the audience development team to achieve registration and attendance targets, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Track and analyze attendance trends to optimize outreach strategies, following IDC's guidelines.
• Liaise with attendees of events such as C-level executives, government representatives or other.
• Oversee and support the team in conducting follow-up and reminder calls to registrants, responding to inquiries, and providing event details in a professional and engaging manner.
• Build lasting relationships with attendees and prospects to foster loyalty and continued engagement with IDC events.
• Utilize a marketing mentality to identify and capitalize on lead-generation opportunities across various channels, including digital, social media, and email, aiming to encourage event registration and drive audience expansion.
• Develop and maintain a well-organized and detailed contact database for IDC events.
• Lead post-event analysis and share insights and recommendations with management to inform future event planning and strategy.
• Work closely with the marketing and events team to contribute ideas, develop strategies, and implement improvements based on attendee insights and feedback to support and elevate IDC's event goals.
• Attend events in the GCC region as needed to support the events on-site.

What You Bring

• Professional verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey messages in a polite, engaging, and motivating way.
• Fluent English as you will be supporting IDC Events in the whole GCC region.
• Understanding of marketing principles, including audience segmentation, lead generation, and engagement strategies to drive registration and attendance.
• Prior experience in a similar role (such as sales tele-calling, marketing support, or customer service) with a strong focus on relationship-building and lead generation.
• Proficient in internet research and Microsoft Excel for data entry and analysis, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team, including the flexibility to occasionally attend events outside standard working hours.
• Flexibility in your life to travel for events.
• This position is located on-site at our Dubai office.
