Your mission
As Substation Electrical Engineer in our Transmission & Distribution department, you will assist the Resident Engineer in supervising electrical works for high-voltage substations. You will ensure that construction activities are carried out in compliance with the contract documents, drawings, method statements, and industry standards. Your role will focus on site inspections, contractor coordination, and ensuring quality and safety during project execution.
Your key responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify contractor performance and compliance with drawings and approved methods.
- Liaise with all technical disciplines and attend Site Technical Coordination Meetings.
- Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and construction-related documents.
- Monitor and witness construction and testing activities to ensure contract compliance.
- Support final inspections, completion certification, and handover of works.
- Ensure effective implementation of safety measures on site.
Your qualifications
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in electrical engineering projects, with proven experience in substation works.
- Previous OETC approval is preferred.
Who you are
- Skilled in site supervision, contractor coordination, and reviewing technical submissions.
- Familiar with regional authority standards and utility requirements.
Your soft skills
- Detail-oriented and proactive in resolving technical/site issues.
- Comfortable working in multicultural, fast-paced environments.
Preference
• Prior experience with OETC or other major utilities will be highly preferred.
