Technical Design Manager (Architect) BIM, Saudi Arabia

Position Objectives:

The Technical Design Manager (Architect) – BIM & Coordination Lead will drive the architectural design and coordination for the Operation Centers Facility Program, ensuring compliance with Saudi Building Codes (SBC), Civil Defense, and LEED/BREEAM sustainability standards. The role requires expertise in BIM (LOD 350+), modular design, prefabrication, and smart building integration, with strong stakeholder coordination, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance experience. The candidate will oversee design development, stakeholder collaboration, BIM execution, shop drawing reviews, and construction technical support.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage BIM implementation (LOD 350+), clash detection, and constructability analysis.
• Develop and enforce the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) to align with industry and project standards.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, and ELV teams, ensuring seamless design integration.
• Oversee modular design, prefabrication strategies, and market-ready solutions for efficient execution.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Codes (SBC), Civil Defense, LEED/BREEAM, and smart building regulations.
• Review and approve shop drawings, technical submittals, and material specifications.
• Provide technical support during construction, resolving design conflicts and maintaining project integrity.
• Support AI-driven design methodologies, digital twin modelling, and smart building integration.
• Develop and implement a Quality Management System (QMS) for design activities.
• Identify and mitigate design risks, constructability challenges, and regulatory compliance gaps.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 12–15+ years of experience in architectural design, BIM coordination, and project management.
• Proven experience in Saudi Arabia, with knowledge of local regulations and permitting processes.
• Expertise in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360) and modular design.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• PMP, LEED, WELL, or other sustainability certifications are a plus.
• Immediate availability and willingness to relocate to Riyadh if required.
