MAIN PURPOSE

Ensure excellence in the development and execution of the Maisons’ marketing, communication, PR, store design and visual merchandising initiatives by implementing the global brand strategy at a local level across the full region with the aim to ensure brand awareness, consistent brand image and sales across the Middle East, India and Africa region.

CONTEXT

Based in the regional headquarters, part of the MEIA management team, reporting directly to the President for the region and working closely with the other key management team members to ensure commercial returns across the region are achieved while increasing brand awareness and protecting the brand image for the full region.  Travel expected.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Responsible for the brand image across the region.
    Responsible for the overall regional marketing and communication plans ensuring a consistent brand image aligned to global and regional brand strategy.
    Responsible for all architectural network projects and visual merchandising requirements to ensure brand consistency and to maintain a strong brand network across the region ensure regional commercial targets are reached.

 

 

THE REGIONAL MARKETING DIRECGTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR

    Marketing and communication activities across the region
    Management of all budgets associated to the marketing activities across the region
    Development, management and execution of all media plans and activities
    Development, management and execution of all brand relation activities across the region
    All store design projects across the region and management of associated budgets and suppliers/agencies
    The planning, distribution and implementation of visual merchandising materials and images across the region
    Ensuring consistent brand image and global brand guidelines and strategy are followed and executed across the region.

 

Marketing Planning & Regional Strategy

    Responsible for the management, development and implementation and executive of regional marketing plans for the full sales network.
    Responsible to ensure the regional marketing plans are aligned to the global and regional brand strategy and supportive of the commercial activities and targets of the region.
    Responsible to ensure approval and communication of the plans to all internal and external stakeholders
    Responsible for approving all marketing and communication activities implemented and executed by internal and external stakeholders are aligned to the brand image and strategy.
    Responsible for ensuring trade marketing activities are executed across the region are aligned to commercial targets.
    Responsible to ensure all brand sales materials are distributed across the full regional network in a timely fashion and up-to-date to support regional commercial targets.

 

Media Management

    Responsible for the development and implementation of regional media plans and associated media budgets.
    Responsible to ensure all media plans have correct Richemont and brand approvals, are aligned to the global media brand strategy, following brand guidelines and executed as per current globally approved campaigns.
    Responsible to ensure all regional key holders are regularly updated and communicated on media advertising and actions happening in the region.
    Responsible to ensure all media reporting Management and implementation of COOP media and budgets
    Responsible to ensure all media plans, especially digital media plans are optimized to maximise brand image and tactical commercial exposure across the region, especially all online media actions.
    Responsible the management of all social media planning, implementation, assets and execution for both owned and partner social media accounts.
    Responsible to ensure support for all regional brand e-commerce and e-tailer activities through provision of brand approved assets and digital media plans.

 

Brand Relations:

    Responsible to ensure all brand relations activities are aligned to both the global and regional strategies.
    Responsible for the management of the regional budget associated to all brand relations activities.
    Responsible for the development and implementation of all regional brand relations plans and activities in all countries and languages where the brand is present and active.
    Responsible for the management of all regional brand ambassadors and network of friends of the brands/local VIPs/influencers with the aim of increasing brand awareness and relevance across the region.
    Responsible to ensure the region is well represented during brand and international brand relations events and activities.
    Responsible to ensure all reporting and brand relations outcomes and results are aligned to global and regionally set qualitative and quantitative targets.

 

Agency Management:

    Responsible for the management of all agencies related to media & brand relations across the region
    Responsible for ensuring the development, management and implementation of all annual media and brand relations plans are aligned with overall global brand and regional marketing strategy.
    Responsible for the appointment and approval of all external marketing agencies and suppliers required for the execution of marketing activities across the region.
    Responsible to ensure all agencies meet both brand and Richemont international and regional requirements for external suppliers and agencies.

 

Store Design & Visual Merchandising

    Responsible for all store design, store planning, visual merchandising and maintenance of brand network across the full region.
    Responsible for the management of all budgets associated to store design and visual merchandising for full region.
    Responsible for ensuring timely delivery of all store design projects and visual merchandising material to ensure commercial targets are achieved and supported across the region.
    Responsible for the management of the warehouses associated to the brand furniture and visual merchandising materials based in the UAE.
    Responsible to ensure visual merchandising consistency across the region to maintain the brand image and maximise commercial returns from the network.
    Responsible for the management of all the architectural projects for all new and renovated stores across the region and that the projects are executed with all the international and regional approvals and aligned to the regions distribution and commercial strategy.

 

Budget & Reporting:

    Responsible for the development and management of the regional Advertising & Promotion (A&P) budget, managing the budgets with Richemont Financial Controlling teams in the four separate Richemont/brand subsidiaries present in the region.
    Responsible for the management of the regional CAPEX budgets.
    Responsible for the management of the department costs (travel & entertainment, personnel costs, equipment charges etc) and contracted services linked to marketing and communications of the overall brand P&L for the region.
    Responsible to ensure all marketing and communication plans and executed inline with established and agreed budgets.
    Responsible for the regular reporting and input required for the regular maintenance of the A&P budgets.
            Responsible for the management of all international and regional marketing and communication reports
    Responsible to provide regular communication with the regional senior management team and key stakeholders across the region.
    Responsible to ensure the management of all associated Richemont and brand reporting systems are regularly updated to ensure the region is keeping both the brand head quarters and Richemont marketing services updated on brand activities for the region.
    Responsbile to ensure all Richemont and brand policies and guidelines associated to budget management are followed.

 

Management & Training:

    Responsible for the management of the regional marketing team, including, recruitment, staff management & personal development for all direct reports.
    Responsible to ensure team performance and individual career development plans for all direct reports.

 

 

JOB PROFILE (for recruitment purpose only)

 

Education:

University degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.  MBA a plus

 

Required experience:

    5-7 years’ experience in international sales and marketing of luxury products or related field.
    Minimum 3 years management experience.
    Minimum 3 years’ experience in an office work environment

 
Technical skills / abilities:

    Familiar with international variances in cultural and legal issues pertaining to sales
    Very good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
    Strong project management and analytical skills
    Fluent in spoken and written English (Arabic an advantage)
    Ability to travel within region (including KSA) & Europe

 
Language skills

    Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken)
    Arabic and French is an advantage

 
Personal skills

    Good planning and organising skills, ability to priortise and plan work activities and ability to multi task
