The ideal candidate should have a grasp and strong knowledge of data management foundations and best practices as per DAMA International, understanding all areas of data management, data governance and data privacy, how to roll out a data management program starting from conducting a data maturity assessment as per local regulators and international best practices, understand what a data strategy should look like, its components, and how to work on increasing data literacy and maturity within an organization, across all domains such as data governance, data quality, metadata, data architecture, integration, document and content management, business intelligence and analytics.
The consultant must be familiar with developing a data management team as well as identifying roles and responsibilities within organizations around the data. The consultant must be comfortable working within large organizations, able to deliver the proper messages and ideas around data management, working with multiple stakeholders and being able to understand and identify data-related issues in an organization, regardless of the industry, as well as potentials to leverage the data for business value.
Your new role, what's involved?
2 to 5 years of experience as a consultant in data management and data governance.
Very strong knowledge about data management domains and areas
Very strong knowledge about data strategy components
Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data integration, master data management and business intelligence
Data Maturity assessment models and methodologies
Strong knowledge in regional regulators (NDMO – KSA, GDPR – EU among others)
Strong knowledge about data privacy and personal data protection laws (regional and global)
Previous experience in drafting data policies and procedures.
Experience & knowledge about the concept of a data catalogue and data business glossary.
Experience in change management, working towards data-driven organizations.
Strong knowledge of data modelling and data architecture and data lineage
Familiar with data management tools such as Informatica, Collibra and others
Strong client facing experience and soft skills.
DAMA certification (CDMP) is a must.
Work experience in the GCC market and KSA specifically.
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer
Fluent in English & Arabic

Certificates from tools (informatica Axon and similar) are a plus.
Tools & Solutions Familiarity:
Informatica ETL, Axon, EDC etc. (or similar solutions like Collibra) (familiarity in Data Management platforms)
