Principal SIOC Consultant- Micro Focus, Dubai
Position Description: The Security Intelligence and Operations Consulting (SIOC) Principal Consultant will work directly with the Managing Principal to oversee practice area operations, ensure consistency and success of consultants, and to grow revenue for the practice area through new opportunities and the expansion of services for current customers. The SIOC Principal Consultant provides expert guidance and oversight to consultants, assists the Sales teams in developing and closing new SIOC opportunities, defines and grows new and existing product offerings, and manages customer engagements.
Responsibilities:
Practice Development: Develop and mature solutions and repeatable methodologies and develop of "thought leadership" and "best practices" documents.
Services Delivery: Provide security consulting services and team leadership during the delivery of Micro Focus CyberRes security engagements.
Engagement Management: manage engagement delivery, track project deliverables, manage project risk, perform quality assurance on deliverables, manage resource utilization, track project financials, and ensure customers are invoiced appropriately.
Business Development: support sales efforts by briefing key customer representatives, present Practice services, develop customer proposals, deliver workshops where needed, finalize statements of work (SoW), and ensure buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the customer.
Establish and manage the project plans.
Assist with team selection, skill development, training, and career progression of SOC staff.
Develop SOC staffing schedules and training plans.
Serve as the primary approval for SOC processes, procedures, and information workflows.
Assist the SOC team as needed to ensure all aspects of the project are completed on-time.
Engage in peer-to-peer dialogue with clients about their industry and their situation
Construct and gain agreement for business cases
Select appropriate available tools to develop and validate business cases including lifetime costing
Shapes and influences client attitudes to outcomes and key benefits for both the client and Micro Focus.
Plan and lead delivery of workshops and facilitated client events
Shape approach to identifying and managing risks and assumptions and for realizing benefits at a program level
Qualifications
Required Experience:
10+ years working within the information security field, with emphasis on security operations, incident management, intrusion detection, firewall deployment, and security event analysis
5+ years of professional or managed services delivery experience
2+ years sales and/or marketing experience
Great customer service skills
Executive-level technical writing skills
Executive-level oral communication skills
Desired Experience:
Professional certification to include PMP, CISSP, SANS GCIA.
Expert knowledge of SIEM technology, with ArcSight specific certification preferred
5+ years working within MSSP or Large Enterprise SOC
