The Job Opportunity

Serco Middle East is a well-established, leading organization in the region and is looking for professional Security Guards with excellent customer service and security skills to join our team delivering security services at our client's facility located in the United Arab Emirates. The role will fall into two disciplines; Entry Point Security Guards and Patrol Guards – both of which comprise of similar responsibilities and will work on a rotational basis throughout the contract.

 

Professionals with a valid Baseline AGSVA (Australian Government Security Vetting Agency) security level clearance and a valid security license issued by the authorized Governing Body Organization in the Australian State are invited to submit an expression of interest for the role.

 

This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of an immensely successful, established contract where our customer has placed their faith in us to assist them to meet their objectives in the region.

 

The hiring for this position is subject to contract award.

 

Key accountabilities

    Safeguard the security of the premises and the surrounding perimeter of the location.
    Maintain an active awareness of current threat levels and to remain vigilant in the reporting of any suspicious activities observed.
    Provide friendly, helpful customer service whenever possible and at all times maintain collaborative working relationship (s) with personnel, contractors and external agencies (e.g. Local Police).
    Act as a deterrent to avoid non-compliance of security protocols.
    Report any incident encountered to the on-duty client representative who will direct appropriate action.

 

What we are looking for in our candidates:

    Fluent English communication skills (reading, writing and spoken) and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
    Ability to communicate effectively, meet the public, respond to questions, and furnish information.
    Ability to follow instructions explicitly and to exercise judgment and act quickly in an emergency situation.
    Highly motivated and flexibility to work in a time-sensitive environment to respond quickly and effectively to unanticipated high workloads, events and emergencies.

 

Specific requirements

    A minimum Baseline AGSVA security level clearance – only Australian Citizens are eligible for this security clearance.    
    A valid UAE Driving License or an international license that can be converted in the UAE.
    A valid security license issued by the authorized Governing Body Organization in the Australian State. The security license shall at the minimum, shall be in date and include the below license functions:
        Crowd Controller
        Security Officer (Unarmed)
        Security Officer (Monitoring)

Reports to: Director of Campus Services

Scope and Purposes: Reporting to the director of the Campus Services Department, this position will provide security and surveillance plus the guidance of outside guests to required departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (not all inclusive)

    To be alert, attentive to all new faces or strangers to AUK.
    Trusting, honest, and protective of all AUK community.
    Takes care of all AUK equipment, machineries, furniture etc.
    Should be trusted to have all master keys under his keeping.
    Coordinating with all out-sourced security company guards.
    Operate CCTV and access control device and software.
    Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

    High School /diploma required.
    Good spoken English and Arabic (Arabic is a plus).
    Read and write English. Arabic is a plus.
    Should have a valid Kuwaiti driving license.
    Computer knowledge, excel and word.

Experience:

    At least 10 years’ experience required.

What will I be doing?

As a Security Guard, you are responsible for the safety and security of all Guests, Team Members and contractors, and visitors while at the hotel.     Maintain the security and safety of the hotel, Guests, and Team Members and their property by providing constant vigilance in and around the hotel premises
    Run routine inspections of the hotel premises

    Assist Management in dealing with any incidents that arise within the hotel

The Job Opportunity

Here at Serco we’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager to join our team based in UAE. This role will support Serco’s Citizen Service, Healthcare and Defence sector which deliver essential public services to customers on behalf of governments, semi-governments and large private corporation. You’ll play a key role in managing a team of Senior Talent Acquisition Specialists and Talent Acquisition Specialists who delivers a variety of hiring activities, including High Volume, Specialist and Senior roles to current projects and new business, with a focus on UAE and KSA.

Using your experience in new business and bidding activity, rapid/mass mobilization, managing strategic talent pools, seeking opportunities for process improvements, along with your passion for implementing the latest talent acquisition strategies, you’ll ensure Serco Middle East resourcing strategies are delivered.

 

Key accountabilities

    Active involvement in driving continuous improvements to Talent Acquisition and Onboarding services regarding process, technology, and team performance.
    Deliver innovative and best practice recruitment and onboarding solutions by keeping abreast of market changes and suggesting and developing changes to processes, practices and policy.
    Lead Sector participation for Talent Acquisition deliverables and Onboarding support with bidding processes for new business in the Sector. Including but not limited to involvement in; end to end recruitment plans and solutions, capacity analysis, proactive demand planning, recruitment and onboarding costing models, sourcing strategies, salary market mapping and validation of pay rates, workforce and mobilisation plans, talent pooling and positive attendance at bid meetings to support timely and accurate bid submissions and mobilisations.
    Manage the delivery of leadership hires (for example G19+) to ensure the best quality candidates are sourced, selected, hired, and onboarded professionally and appropriately.

What we are looking for in our candidates:

    Extensive experience of successfully identifying candidates through direct sourcing and research is essential.
    Previous experience of successfully leading a team to deliver volume and senior hiring activities, end to end, in a fast paced environment against tight deadlines
    Demonstrable experience in utilising social media channels to enhance sourcing strategies.
    Management experience aligned to Serco values.  
    Middle East experience is essential with a preferred focus on KSA and the UAE.
    Strategic Workforce Planning, Resource forecasting, scheduling, and work allocation experience.
    Understanding of the wider HR agenda and its impact on Talent Acquisition and vice versa.

Specific requirements

    A minimum of 7 years recruitment experience with at least 2 years team management experience and at least 3 years of in-house recruitment within a large corporation across various sectors.
