You have years of experience with cloud development and we don't scare you with terms like "Infrastructure as code". Also, Kubernetes and Terraform will not frighten you. You bring a broad interest in data security and data protection and you’re not afraid to coach others on these topics.

We are currently looking for an IT-Engineer, based in Woerden, NL. As part of a team, your main responsibility is to support the operations, IT-infrastructure and work of our engineers in Woerden and Hoogeveen.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

    From your primary location in Woerden, you together with a team support about 100 engineers at two locations in the Netherlands with hardware, software and network issues.
    You ensure, that IT-equipment and local infrastructure performs according to our standards and in a secure and cost-efficient manner.
    You monitor and ensure that IT-security levels and maintenance on the local IT-infrastructure, including network, hardware and software complies with standards.
    You assist in determining suitable software and hardware to meet user requirements, prepare and facilitate ordering of hardware and software with multiple internal and external contacts and track IT assets handed to users.
    You install and set up new hardware or software and perform typical repair and preventative maintenance tasks, troubleshoots software and hardware failures and identify local network problems
    You perform typical IT-helpdesk activities, incident resolution and create reports via the IT incident management tool (Got-IT).
    You provide assistance and guidance to external helpdesk employees and suppliers
    You make sure that data backup and recovery is implemented and executed according to our standards.
    You perform maintenance activities on the Local Area Network (LAN) in conjunction with Flex-IT and according to the IT-security policy
    You evaluate and demonstrate advanced technologies as well as functional techniques and help continuously improve our processes.

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

    A relevant education in IT such as vocational training, university or similar
    At least some previous experience in a similar role
    Good general experience and overview over current IT topics, technologies and trends
    Experience with Microsoft technologies and Active Directory
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required, Dutch is an advantage.
    You need to have strong communication skills, be customer focused and enjoy interacting with people.
    A dynamic and flexible personality and a drive to learn new things

Job Description

Works under the direction of Section Head-Mechanical/ Maintenance Manager to plan & supervise all preventive and corrective maintenance, monthly /annual outage and overhauling work activities on plant mechanical equipments.
