We need a Public Relations Manager,
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and collaborative public relations professional to join our communications team as the Public Relations Manager. The successful candidate will develop and execute integrated PR strategies that elevate brand reputation, shape narrative across key audiences, and support business objectives. This role requires exceptional media relations skills, strong storytelling ability, experience managing cross-functional programs, and a data-driven approach to measuring impact.
Key Responsibilities - Media & External Communications
Develop and implement proactive public relations programs and integrated communications plans that advance brand awareness, product launches, thought leadership, and corporate initiatives across traditional, digital, and social channels.
Build and maintain strong relationships with national, trade, and regional journalists, editors, and influencers; secure media coverage, op-eds, interviews, and speaking opportunities that align with business priorities.
Lead reactive media response and issue management, including rapid statement development, spokesperson coordination, and escalation to senior leadership as appropriate; prepare holding statements and Q&A materials for sensitive situations.
Oversee content development for press materials—press releases, media advisories, backgrounders, bylines, and executive bios—ensuring clear, on-brand messaging and legal/ regulatory alignment when required.
Partner with marketing, product, legal, and executive teams to align PR objectives with campaign activities, product timelines, and corporate announcements; act as a communications advisor to cross-functional stakeholders.
Manage relationships with external agencies and freelance resources; lead brief development, vendor selection, performance evaluation, and budget oversight to maximize ROI.
Measure, analyze, and report on PR performance using media monitoring, share-of-voice, sentiment analysis, and KPI-driven dashboards; provide actionable insights to optimize strategy and demonstrate business impact.
Develop and deliver media training and executive communications coaching to spokespeople; prepare spokespeople for interviews, panels, and public appearances with tailored briefing materials and mock interviews.
Maintain and enforce brand and messaging guidelines across external communications; ensure consistency of tone, facts, and positioning in all public-facing materials.
Stay current on media trends, industry developments, and competitor activity; incorporate timely opportunities and rapid response tactics into PR programming.
Required Qualifications - Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 5+ years of progressive public relations experience, ideally within consumer, technology, B2B, or corporate communications environments, with demonstrable media results.
Proven track record securing meaningful media placements and managing high-visibility initiatives, with strong relationships across relevant media outlets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience drafting clear, persuasive press materials, executive statements, and thought leadership content.
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills; comfortable advising senior executives and working cross-functionally to align communications with business goals.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and fast-moving projects while maintaining attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines.
Data-driven mindset with experience using media monitoring tools, analytics platforms, and reporting to demonstrate PR impact and inform strategy.
High ethical standards, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications - Domain & Tools
Experience supporting product launches, crisis communications, investor or analyst relations, or executive reputation programs.
Familiarity with media monitoring and PR measurement tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack, CoverageBook) and social listening platforms.
Background in newsroom or agency environments, or experience managing external PR agencies and freelance communications partners.
Experience with content creation for digital channels, including social platforms, blogs, and multimedia assets.
