Job Family Definition:
Provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. Responsible for providing technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers’ business needs and, consequently, for understanding customers’ businesses. As trusted advisor create and maintain effective customer relationships so as to insure customer satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of leading edge technologies and industry/market domain knowledge. Actively contribute to the company’s solutions portfolio by providing information ranging from technical knowledge to methodologies based on experience gained from customer projects. Shape technical direction and technical strategies within the organization and for external customers. Accountable for consistent and significant chargeability levels (or expense relief for internal project teams) and for assisting in meeting or exceeding revenue and customer satisfaction goals. Contribute to organization’s profitability by generating and cultivating new business opportunities and by providing technical support for deal proposal development.
Management Level Definition:
Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.
In our Business Unit HPC, & AI, we focus on cutting edge, high-performance, high-scale customer solutions serving a wide range of industries and end-users. Our organization includes High Performance Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Mission Critical Solutions (MCS), Edgeline, Moonshot and Hewlett Packard Labs.
We are currently looking for an HPC Technical consultant. In this amazing role you will cover the support and delivery of high-end HPC solutions for our customers. You’ll be part of a team of HPC experts and will be working under minimal supervision.
Our expectations:
Apply your technical background and knowledge of industry trends to Support and Deliver for the region in HPC services, including both hardware and software, for massively parallel (MPP) supercomputer systems, clusters and storage systems on a 24 X 7 Basis and willing to be on standby and available when needed.
Support the pre-sales team in scoping & sizing the HPC services when required.
You will be dedicated to key accounts and Center of excellence Supporting HPC Hardware related Support and Maintenance activity and topics in Middle East and Africa region.
Analyze, qualify, troubleshoot, resolve the incidents with the right level of autonomy & expertise and coordinate with L2 and L3 Support issues requiring specialized intervention.
Collaborate with team members, other internal organizations, customers, and third parties (e.g. DDN, Red Hat, Altair, Nvidia…)
Manage the customer relationship, including verbal & written communication
Research HPC documentation & complete required training to maintain and develop HPC skills.
Must be willing learn new technologies in HPC HPE Portfolio including Cray EX Liquid cooled systems and Apollo Technologies as the core technologies to support which will be provided on the job and professional training.

Minimum qualifications for the Center of Excellence Hardware Support Engineer shall be: Must be an with at least Five (5) years of service. Must hold a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Must hold a valid HPC technical certification and supported storage system. Experience maintaining similar HPC equipment such as Cray EX, Cray XC40, CS500, and E 1000 Storage or Cluster store or equivalent (Dell, Lenovo, Apollo 6500) in a large enterprise computer center. Three (3) years’ experience in High Performance Computing technologies and/or enterprise level storage systems, and/or High Performance Computing Application, depending on the intended activities or role. Experienced in Linux/Unix Operating systems. Fluent in spoken and written English, including computer related technical terminology. Experience with Oil and Gas industry is advantageous. Willing to relocate the Saudi Arabia, Eastern Region Dammam.
