Your Job:

As a junior logistics officer - location : Jeddah 2nd industrial area. 

You have the duty to supervise the flow of materials receiving and dispatching process according to the daily schedules that are being assigned. In addition, making sure to prepare accurate records of materials and control and monitor the inventory.

Other duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensuring high standard hygiene, health & safety regulations implementing in the warehouse.
  • Receiving all incoming materials through the issuance of receipt voucher and storing it in an appropriate way and preparing bills of emerging materials as required.
  • Verifying the quality and quantity of materials that have been received and ensuring compliance with the required specifications in coordination with the QHSE inspector.
  • Keeping accurate records in a timely manner for materials that have been received and entering the records information on the computer billing systems that contain all the identifying information, as well as updating the information as needed.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and neat warehouse and storage areas.
Your skills and experience:
  • High School diploma, vocational training centre or a combination of education, experience and training necessary for the job.
  • Seven years of relevant experience.
  • Good written, read and spoken English Language
  • Chemical control training

Job Title: Coordinator Logistic

Reports To: Director Logistics and Distribution

Position Summary: Responsible for planning, managing and coordinating the domestic and international transportation and logistics activities in support of the business objectives. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages compliance to corporate domestic and international transportation & logistics strategies, policies and procedures.
  • Leads pursuit of fully synchronized global transportation and logistics programs to service the business requirements at the lowest total cost.
  • Directly negotiates domestic and international freight and logistics contracts with carriers and 3PL’s, then co-ordinates effective implementation throughout Exterran worldwide.
  • Maintains awareness of key industry trends and pricing as well as the development of new services and recommends and/or councils others on these changes.
  • Creates and implements a clear process for shipping and logistics coordination.
  • Establishes processes that effectively manage and audit freight invoices.
  • Provides transportation budget for major contracts and manage accordingly.
  • Establishes, monitors, and controls departmental budget in accordance with the projected business plan.
  • Develop and manage innovative change using new or significantly different technology or process approaches that can improve the competitive advantage
  • Develop and manage a continuous improvement plan with goals, measures, resources, and timelines.
  • Requires employee to constantly type and use a computer and other office equipment, such as copier, printer, calendar, telephones, etc.

Required Education

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
  • 8+ years of heavy haul and project transportation & logistics experience, preferably in a global operational leadership role with energy or field services companies.
  • Engineering procurement contractor experience would be an plus

  • 5 a 10 years of strong hands-on working experience in both domestic and international transportation and logistics, principles, practices and procedures.
  • 2 years of recent export experience shipping to Latin America and Eastern Hemisphere.
  • 4+ years of proven face-to-face carrier negotiation and contract writing skills
  • Scope includes parcels, LTL, heavy haul, air, rail, barge, and ocean
  • Comprehensive international experience selecting carriers, freight forwarders, brokers and other services to move freight to the international destinations
  • Knowledge of transportation contracting and industry best practices
  • Detailed understanding trade control compliance
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, sufficient to build and strengthen customer and supplier relationships.
