Your Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) has overall responsibility for the management of the group finance functions preparation of the group’s financial data and supports the CEO as a member of the senior management team in his dealings with the Operating Boards / Committees and the financial/investor community.
  • The key tasks of the CFO are to oversee through the group finance functions the day to day financial operations, which involves financial planning and modelling, controls and treasury together with the creation and protection of shareholder value. In essence he will have four main areas of responsibility:
  • The group finance and accounting together with support to strategic planning, funding and acquisition activities for the CEO, as well as generating significant value add to the businesses by providing valuable financial reporting and MIS to guide key decision-making.
  • Managing all aspects of the external financial relationships with investors, financial institutions, etc. In particular, he will be able to demonstrate a keen understanding of the UAE and international financing and banking scenes, and will be able to build and reinforce strong relationships with the financial institutions in support of the financing requirements of the group and the operating companies.
  • Supporting and advising the CEO and the Board both in the creation of long term shareholder value and the preservation of shareholder value through risk management and mitigation.
  • Oversight of the operating units and leadership of the accounting teams, including the strategic vision for the group’s financial systems.
  • The CFO will have oversight of the finance processes within the group, including:
  • Ensuring the integrity and completeness of all financial reporting throughout the group and its various business entities.
  • Establishing the highest standards of financial and management accounting, coaching and guiding the accounting teams to operate in line with global standards for finance operation.
  • The CFO will also be responsible for building up and creating a strong finance team to support him in managing the financial resources of the business.


Your Qualifications

  • With a sound understanding of local, regional and international business, financial and real estate markets, the CFO will need to combine strong interpersonal skills, with a determined and rigorous approach to his role. He will need to bring a solid understanding of the business principles and regulations applicable to such a group and contribute positively to the executive management of the Group.

Organisation Unit Purpose

Finance Systems & Business Intelligence is one of the units within the Group Finance functions. The unit is responsible for ensuring consistent and standard information delivery to various businesses, support functions and subsidiaries of the Bank. This unit is responsible for delivering key initiatives related to Finance Systems and Business Intelligence.

Job Purpose

 

  • To manage a team of analysts in order to deliver the initiatives related to Finance Systems and Business Intelligence for Group Finance.
  • To plan and execute initiatives in phases as per the business requirement enabling the business to achieve the end state model and ensure the optimal use of the systems for business functions in line with industry best practices.
  • Review the progress of initiatives and provide continuous milestone updates to stakeholders. Ensure adherence to established processes.
  • To work with IT Delivery Managers for robust implementation, enhancements and changes involving Finance Systems.
  • To ensure information is delivered to business through correct channels, ensuring compliance with all controls & security requirements
  • To be well acquainted with project management processes and best practices.
  • To oversee remediation & closure of issues related to Finance Systems.
  • Mentoring junior team members and driving performance.

ROLE PURPOSE:

Assist the Head of Internal Shari’a Audit Group in secretary-administration issues for Division “ISAG”.

Key Accountabilities of the role:        

  • Receive the incoming inquiries; ensure that the required documents are complete and deliver the same to the concerned employees inside the Division
  • Follow up inquiries and delivery to the concerned departments while establishing a timeframe for execution
  • Coordinate travel, vacations, training courses and other employee related issues
  • Meeting with all requests made by “ISAG” members.
  • Supporting Division staff in promoting ADIB's Values.
  • Prepare & manage monthly reports and documents.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings, appointments, conferences and travel arrangements
  • Maintain schedules and calendars
  • Handle incoming mail and other materials
  • Set up and maintain filing systems, excel sheets and update database 
  • Communicate verbally to answer inquiries and provide information for the staff

  • Comply with any additional tasks which could be assigned by the Team Leader/line management.

The Finance Manager has the overall responsibility for the finance department. The Manager must ensure that the right processes, systems and staff are in place to support the business

Main Duties:

• Finance Division: Manages all finance and accounting processes/systems, tax functions and cash and treasury functions. Analyzes the business to maximum extent, including profitability analysis by various dimensions, cost management, return on investments. Works cooperatively on business plans, budgeting and follow up, and management reporting and information delivery achieves overall goals and timelines.
