We need a Supervisor, Civil
Job Description
Responsible for overseeing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key responsibilities include managing daily site activities, coordinating workers and subcontractors, enforcing safety regulations, and monitoring project progress to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. They also handle resource allocation, quality control, and are a central point of communication between the management team, contractors, and the workforce.
Site management and coordination
- Supervise daily activities:Oversee and direct day-to-day construction activities to ensure they align with project plans.
Coordinate resources:
Manage the allocation and coordination of labor, materials, and equipment.
Manage personnel:
Supervise and direct the work of on-site personnel, including laborers and subcontractors.
Communicate effectively:
Act as a liaison between engineers, project managers, clients, and the on-site crew.
Quality and compliance
Ensure quality:
Verify that all work meets project specifications and quality standards through inspections and monitoring.
Enforce safety:
Implement and strictly enforce safety protocols and regulations to create a safe working environment.
Adhere to regulations:
Ensure all work complies with building codes, permits, and project specifications.
Review plans:
Analyze blueprints and construction drawings to ensure work is performed according to them.
Project and administration
Monitor progress:
Track project schedules, identify potential delays, and take corrective action as needed.
Manage budget:
Monitor and control project costs to ensure the project stays within budget constraints.
Problem-solve:
Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site.
Maintain records:
Keep accurate records of project progress, costs, and quality control measures.
