The Regional Proposal/ Business Development Manager provides broad technical knowledge in the preparation and coordination of tender proposals and bids and drives marketing efforts to support the growth of SJ’s business in the Middle East. He/she will support in the process of finding business opportunities, developing proposals and actively contributing to the development and production of project deliverables as part of the team.
Key Accountabilities:
- Prepares high-quality proposals and marketing materials in response to opportunities within the Middle East;
Ensure the compilation of high-quality proposals in response to both specific and generic opportunities across ME;
Actively contribute to the development and maintenance of standard ME proposal material including organization charts, resumes and project data sheets;
Co-ordinate the timing and quality of input by others, including third party organisations, into EOIs and proposals;
Demonstrate a collaborative proactive approach to the completion of winning proposals under deadlines and budgetary pressures;
Prepare major proposal updates for the ME division on a monthly basis;
Develop processes and templates to improve the content and delivery of proposals for both specific and generic requirements.
- Drives activities that contribute to the effective and efficient operations of the Bidding and Submissions function;
Working proactively with internal contacts to contribute to pursuit planning;
Coaching and training of existing and new administration staff (where required);
Assist Manager with coordination and management of team during Manager’s absence, as required.
- Identifies and drives process improvement to the function and facilitates adherence to SJ policy.
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in a similar role within a corporate environment.
