Overview
Jensen Hughes is seeking a self-motivated Billing Specialist to play a crucial role within the Project Finance Department. The ideal candidate is a hungry, career driven individual who can manage tight deadlines, will strive to improve processes, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and will act with a sense of urgency. The role will be responsible for managing the company’s billing cycle; with a key focus on managing Accounts Receivable and Unbilled DSOs for a particular region and work closely with Project Managers and Project Financial Accountants to resolve open billing and AR issues. This position may be located in Riyadh, Al Khobar, Dubai or Doha.
Responsibilities
Lower DSO by reducing unbilled for defined book of business.
Actively manage the monthly billing process, generating draft invoices, making changes in ERP, producing final invoices and distributing to the client.
Ensure first time quality throughout the invoicing process.
Ensure billings are aligned to our contractual obligations.
Actively support the collections effort, and work with collections partners to ensure timely payment.
Problem solve and escalate issues to finance leadership as necessary.
Identify best practices and process improvements, implement and document them.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Finance, Accounting or related field of study (preferred)
Arabic speaking is an advantage
Middle East experience is required
Experience in project or service-based firms (preferred)
Experience with large ERP or Accounting Software (preferred)
3-5 years of relevant experience in billing, collections and/or related areas
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Detailed orientated with a focus on transactional excellence
Sense of urgency and ability to independently prioritize competing deadlines
A self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as within a team setting
Proficient in MS Office with high proficiency in Excel
