Overview of the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Master Technician to join our team, specializing in the mechanical and electrical repairs of Diesel and Electric Buses. The ideal candidate will ensure that all technical aspects of our products are understood and that repairs are conducted correctly the first time. You will play a vital role in both workshop and field environments, proactively diagnosing issues, recommending solutions, and improving overall service efficiency.
 
What You Will Do:
    • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues on Diesel and Electric Buses.
    • Diagnose faults and provide effective solutions, ensuring problems are resolved correctly on the first attempt.
    • Proactively identify potential issues while attending jobs in both the workshop and field environments.
    • Utilize tools and implement best practices as outlined in service manuals to enhance productivity and efficiency.
    • Read, understand, and follow instructions in workshop manuals, utilizing service checklists where applicable.
 
Required Skills to Be Successful:
    • Technical Education: Basic/Technical education or apprenticeship in mechanical or automobile engineering.
    • Certifications: Trade Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering. BKT (Bus Key Technician) Certification from Volvo Bus Corporation is an advantage.
    • Proven Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience working on buses, with at least 3 years of experience on Electric Buses.
    • Technical Expertise: Demonstrated ability to independently service, repair, and overhaul bus components.
    • Diagnostic Skills: Proficient in diagnosing faults and implementing effective repairs using service manuals and best practices.
    • Driving License: A valid UAE driving license is advantageous.
    • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
