THIS POSITION WILL BE BASED IN DUBAI
Job Description Summary
Initiates and drives sourcing of suppliers for engineering commodities and services
Identifying requirements for contracts from purchase data and proposing prospective suppliers for the same
Managing tenders, bids and converting the same into sub-contracts to meet the project requirements
Assures full alignment and implementation of Global/Regional agreements/contracts Support, maintain, and update key sourcing tools, processes and systems, preferred supplier list, etc
Ensure full implementation of agreed contracts, made by applicable Commodity Leaders into the local system
Ensure strict adoption and implementation of all ethics and compliance regulations and train/inform relevant stake holders & Participate in Statutory audits
Management and feeding the price info. in local IT systems
Be the Sourcing representative and first point of escalation for supplier related issues at the location
Support the implementation of Global Sourcing initiatives at the site
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering/ management/supply chain
Experience in managing bids, tenders and closure of contracts in coordination with internal stakeholders and the legal team
Good oral and written communication skills
Experience of working in Oil and gas/ Maritime companies is preferable though not essential
Self-driven and a problem solving mindset
