JOB DESCRIPTION

A Kids Club Coordinator with Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts is responsible for creating a safe, engaging and fun environment for young guests. They design and lead age-appropriate activities, ensuring an exceptional experience that aligns with the luxury standards of the hotel. This role involves managing the daily operations of the Kids Club and maintaining high levels of service, safety, and creativity.

What will I be doing

As a Kids Club Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for young guests and their families, providing a welcoming and enjoyable experience. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

    Greet guests warmly, answer questions about Kids club amenities, promote activities and events.
    Plan, organize and lead recreational activities, including arts & crafts, storytelling, games, and cultural experiences.
    Ensure all activities are engaging, age-appropriate and aligned with the brand’s luxury hospitality standards.
    Build rapport with children and parents to create memorable experiences.
    Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
    Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the Kids Club area.
    Enforce hotel policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
    Coordinate with other departments (Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Concierge) for special activities or child-friendly services.
    Maintain records of attendance, incidents, and feedback to improve guest experience.
    Ensure all equipment and materials are well-maintained and replenished as needed.
    Deliver warm and professional guest service, ensuring a seamless luxury experience for families.
    Communicate effectively with parents regarding schedules, special activities, and safety protocols.
    Adapt activities and services to accommodate VIP families or special requests.
    Reports any guest complaints to superiors immediately
    Assist in promoting Kids Club programs and seasonal events
    Monitor recreational areas, enforce safety guidelines. Ensure a clean and hazard-free environment at all times and complying with health and safety requirements.

What are we looking for

A Kids Club Coordinator serving Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts is always working on behalf of our guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:

    Minimum 2-3 years of experience in childcare, hospitality, recreation, or a similar role in a luxury setting.
    Proven track record of supervising a recreation team in a fast-paced environment.
    Formal training in Recreation, Early Childhood Education, or relevant certifications.
    Knowledge of current trends in luxury recreation, guest engagement, and cultural sensitivity in recreation practices.
    Expertise in recreational planning and event management, with a deep understanding of child development.
    Creativity and innovation in curating engaging, high-quality activities for various age groups.
    Exceptional leadership and organizational skills to oversee seamless operations.
    Exceptional problem-solving abilities, ensuring quick and effective resolution of challenges.
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering trust with both children and parents.
    Energetic, enthusiastic, and service-driven, with a passion for creating memorable experiences.
    Team player with a positive and professional attitude, collaborating effectively across departments.
    Ability to manage stress in a high-pressure environment.
    Keen eye for detail and commitment to quality.
    First Aid and CPR certification
    Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, days, afternoons and evenings
