Project Director, Hogarth, Dubai, UAE

A Hybrid working model

What does a Project Director do at Hogarth?

Our client is one of the world’s most recognised brands, a global technology company who consistently delivers innovation combined with beautiful design. The Project Director is responsible for leading project management team the newly formed CEMEA region. This involves bringing together a talented team of client service specialists and inspiring them to produce at the highest standard. The Project Director is responsible for leading all project management teams (Channel, Content) through a transition phase, whilst ensuring continuous delivery throughout. The result will be a high skilled and collaborative team who are delivering client service excellence and measurable efficiencies year on year.

    Continuous delivery of all CEMEA production, striving for excellence at every step.
    Develop a strong partnership with clients and global Hogarth network.
    Effective team leadership across multiple locations, ensuring consistent utilisation and improved productivity.
    Highly trained project management team across multiple disciplines.
    Implementation of global initiatives, delivering against the business and client needs.
    Ability to change and influence, ensuring CEMEA is leading the way on the global stage.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and team management

    Lead a team of project managers to deliver localized marketing communications on the agency side.
    Bring together a diverse team of projects managers across multiple locations to ensure an efficient production setup producing high quality output at scale.
    Lead by example, to build an inclusive team culture, where collaboration, fresh thinking, a can-do attitude and Hogarth values are embedded within the team DNA.
    Ensure that the client service team meets their SLAs in terms of creating and updating agendas, timing plans, contact reports, and cost estimates.
    Review team structure and resource on an ongoing basis and, with the help of data, ensure the client is serviced appropriately whilst maintaining agreed profitability.
    Ensure the team are well utilized (KPI driven) and performing to the high standard.
    Plan, resource and manage large campaign launches
    Ensure the best project management talent is on the team and provide mentoring to achieve excellence.
    Plan and coordinate training/onboarding for incoming and existing teams.
    Conduct and manage performance appraisals for direct reports.
    Point of escalation for Hogarth internal project management teams.

Collaboration

    Successfully establish a trusted and strong partnership with key clients. Ensure continuous delivery of client service excellence.
    Build strong internal relationships across Hogarth and ensure successful collaboration of the production team with other Hogarth functions – essential to Hogarth’s success.
    Build a success partnership with Production Director to ensure 100% delivery across Content and Channel functions.
    Possess a strong understanding of, and consistently deliver against, all contractual obligations, commercial arrangements, KPIs and SLAs with our client.
    Able to be flexible and respond to changing needs both external and internal.
    Continuously work on development and implementation of process improvements.
    Possess a strong understanding of and consistently deliver against all contractual obligations, commercial arrangements, KPIs and SLAs with our client.
    Remove barriers and find solutions to meet client needs. Communicate clearly with clients on recommendations and solutions as part of planning, briefing and review sessions.
    Excellence in operational planning and execution.
    Provide necessary data for budgets and constant reforecasting.
    Ensure Business Director and Global SMEs informed on all matters relating to Project Management

Finance management, reporting and business growth

    Own quarterly budget planning, re-forecasting, reconciliation and analysis.
    Monitor budget utilisation across teams and flag issues to key stakeholders.
    Manage resourcing across teams by monitoring data-led utilisation and productivity.
    Ensure full compliance with all financial procedures and policies.
    Lead and deliver regular business reviews to Director level (and above).

Innovations, initiatives, and best practice

    Continuously work on development and implementation of process improvements.
    Work with global SMEs to enhance process/tools and implement efficiency initiatives.
    Work closely with Hogarth global counterparts to share best practices.
    Use data to inform future planning and strategic insights.

Requirements:

    Proven experience leading a client service team.
    Good knowledge of print, colour retouching, and digital artwork production processes and best practices.
    Experience in financial management and understanding the importance of accurate financial management.
    Excellent spreadsheet skills in both Excel and Numbers.
    Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including confidence in presenting and storytelling to drive change and improvement.
    Recruitment expertise. Able to brief resource manager and interview potential candidates for the team.
    Attention to detail, analytical thinking ability and passion for the work are essential.
    A hands-on, can-do approach to solving problems.
    The ability to prioritise and work quickly and efficiently within very tight time frames.

Senior Business Development and Marketing Executive, Charles Russell Speechlys, Dubai, UAE

Roles and Responsibilities
To be a ‘go to’ person, providing day to day support to the Middle East offices, in particular in relation to:
• Supporting the SBDMM and BDME on developing, reviewing and updating business planning and budgeting materials, participating in meetings, amending documents
• Supporting the SBDMM on driving the client targeting initiative and work with key campaign leads as a trusted advisor to drive and support their BD objectives
• Acting as the point person for BD budget tracking for the Division, working alongside our BDME and Business Development & Marketing Assistant (BDMA) to ensure that campaign groups are keeping to pre-agreed budgets. The SBDME will also be expected to analyse expenses to track BD activity against business objectives, identifying any areas for improvement
• Being a leading figure on the pitching process, from pre-pitch strategic discussion to document production and advice, including RFPs, credentials, statements of experience, client quotes/testimonials, basic research, partner and fee earner biographies and core factual/policy information. The SBDME will be expected to be prepared to lead on pitch meetings and provide advice throughout the pitch process, and also be comfortable working, on occasion, to tight deadlines with limited guidance
• The SBDME, working with the BDME and BDMA, will be responsible for developing and maintaining the materials required to create pitch documents.
• Managing Middle East marketing collateral, supporting the BDME and BDA in creating brochures, team sheets and other client facing materials in English and Arabic ensuring that they are aligned to Charles Russell Speechlys brand specifications
• Working with the relevant Knowledge Development Lawyers in generating legal content to support the client relationship, particularly in relation to client specific newsletter and significant changes to law
• Produce, distribute, analyse and report on digital newsletters, legal updates and other direct mailings, working with the CRM team and the BDME
• Preparing reports on the Middle East team’s BD and client activity and progress.
• Taking a lead role in the co-ordination and execution of the legal directories and award submissions process, working closely with the BDME and BDMA and liaising with the Middle East partners and teams, along with the research teams to ensure that submissions are in the correct format and delivered on time
• Working with the SBDMM on client listening preparation and research. Work with finance on gap analysis and internal cross selling.
• Supporting the SBDMM, working with fee earners and our PR team, on the coordination of PR activity for the Middle East
• Undertaking ad hoc research on markets, sectors, industries, organisations and individuals of relevance to the Division
• Being Involved and providing support on firm wide key project work (e.g. campaigns) and any other key BD deliverables for the senior management team (Director and Heads).
• Helping communicate and organise relevant training for Partners and other fee-earners in the various skills necessary to develop prospects and win new business
• Advising on best practice activities and methods
• Working with the regional legal secretaries to ensure best practice in relation to activity logging and referrals in InterAction


Qualifications and Experience
• IT savvy and computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Some knowledge of CRM systems (preferably InterAction)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – the role
• Involves liaison with internal and external people at a senior level and internationally
• Fluent in English (written and spoken), Arabic language capabilities is a bonus but not essential.

About You and this Role  
 
You love sales and working the full lifecycle of a deal from prospecting to closing. You love mapping out strategic accounts and finding opportunities to sell within them. You’re not afraid to be persistent and handle objections from potential customers.   
You will be responsible for driving revenue for accounts in specific verticals such as Manufacturing, Insurance, Banking and Healthcare by enabling them on their digital transformation journeys using Liferay’s solutions.  
   

Key Objectives  
 
Responsible for New and Growth Annual Recurring Revenue.  
Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to close.  
Develop a deep understanding of the way a specific business operates, and the priorities that drive decisions from top-down.   
Acquire new customers and secure contracts that achieve assigned sales targets.  
Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking within the assigned vertical or segment of accounts  
Consult with prospect about business challenges and requirements, as well as the range of options and cost benefits of each  
Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge in order to have meaningful conversations with prospects  
Collaborate cross functionally  
Work with technical staff, product specialists, Solution Sales leads, where required to address customer requirements  
Cultivate strong relationships with our channel and partner companies that may be required to deliver full solutions to customers  
Work with marketing and vertical pod resources to plan and execute lead generation campaigns  
Create and deliver presentations for senior managers and decision makers  
Draft and deliver proposals, RFP/RFI responses in a professional manner  
Ability to uncover business initiatives and pain points, tie it back to Liferay solutions  
Develop and maintain key account plans that identify opportunities for Liferay to deliver value, strategic motivators, main stakeholders, buying processes and forecasted sales utilizing our corporate sales methodology (Miller Heiman)  
Provide forecasts on best case and most likely sales volumes over relevant time periods  
Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace through your conduct, social media presence, LinkedIn, etc.  
   

Required Qualifications  
 
3-5 Years of experience selling enterprise-level software solution sales (Content Management, ERP, CRM, eBusiness and/or eCommerce applications preferred) into Fortune 1000 and Mid-Market Enterprise accounts.  
3-5 Years of senior level prospecting and self generating leads (e.g., Social Selling, Targeted Accounts)  
Ability to build executive client relationships and understand their business needs and challenges.  
Outstanding prioritization and self/time management skills  
A hunter sales personality - the position is focused on New Business.  
Solution seller focused on selling on value and ROI vs features and functionality  
Understand the limitations and virtues of working in small teams to accomplish big goals  
Foundational understanding of technical environments where Liferay and it’s products are applicable.  
Foundational understanding of IT operations and how they operate  
Excellent presentation skills  
Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
Willingness to travel (50%)
