Job Description:

Parsons KAFD is looking for an amazingly talented Lead Specialist - Dry Utilities to join our team!

In this role, you will join a leading professional engineering, construction, and cost management team working on multiple projects in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD).  KAFD is a master plan development positioned to become Riyadh’s new Central Business District that combines a mixture of world-class commercial offices, hotels, retail spaces, and contemporary residences in addition to smart city solutions that redefine urban living.

What You'll Be Doing:

    Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, the Lead Specialist - Dry Utilities will be responsible for the review of requirements associated with the PMCM role to provide design reviews
    In close coordination with the Lead Designer and/or Design Director and others, lead and direct the efficient, professional analysis, synthesis, and recommendation of conceptual design alternatives to establish, communicate, and sell the design vision for landscape architectural design projects.
    Supervise preparing, designing, and presenting high-quality infrastructure network design and design review in coordination with other Wet utilities services.
    Supervise the preparation of technical design packages to tender and monitor construction quality.
    Liaise with Project Managers, Discipline Leads, and internal and external team members, including master planners, architects, urban designers, specialist designers, engineers from all disciplines, and quantity surveyors.
    Plan, program, and delegate within the team structure and participate in workflow reporting and planning.
    Provide high-level liaison with Clients and Client representatives.
    Ensure quality and timely delivery of design review deliverables following the agreed schedule and plan
    Participate in technical reviews and progress reporting and liaise with internal clients.
     When requested, update reports to the Design Review Manager, project manager, and clients.
    Ensure coordination of design review deliverables and timely submission of submittals, deliverables, reviews, and approvals against contract requirements.
    Report to the Deputy Program Director - Design or designated leader advice on deviations from the same.
    Adhere to Health and Safety and Quality measures and associated policies.
    Provide design advice and liaise with all internal departments as required.
    Coordinate assignments between the interfacing department teams as required,
    Communicate and liaise with all project personnel in a professional manner.
    Adhere to Design review principles in terms of Quality, ensuring personal responsibility for design outputs that are properly checked and in line with the design brief and quality standards.
    Review and recommend approval, as required, to the Project Director of design standards proposals to be used by the Contractors to ensure compliance with the contract.
    Assist in preparing responses to all design-related requests for clarification sent by the Contractor.

Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Engineering from a recognized university
    Minimum of 15 years of experience in the design review of Utility drawings and designs showing increasing levels of responsibility
    Experience in infrastructure utilities for established contractor Engineering firms or the client side.
    Experience in local codes and international standards.
    Proven leadership and delivery ability
    Knowledge of LEED principles and certification preferred
