About the job
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks' completion.
Main Purpose of Role:
• Project manage from cradle to grave for large scale projects in the United Arab Emirates
Key Accountabilities:
• Helping to establish the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters
• Identifying and ensuring that the appropriate line manager is aware of quality, safety, health and environment issues
• Project planning, including producing the detailed project plan
• Advising upon the procurement of resources
• Leading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project team
• Monitoring and applying performance management techniques
• Managing the change control process
• Monitoring and advising upon project finances
• Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications
• Preparing formal project progress and other reports
• Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
Internal management accountabilities, to include:
• Knowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each project is shared with the team
• Financial management – Ensuring prompt client invoicing and monitoring a project’s financial status
• Process improvement – Identifying ways in which internal systems and processes can be improved and referring ideas to the appropriate line manager
Qualifications
• Educated to degree level
• Ideally professionally qualified in one of the following fields: construction, project management, engineering, surveying or architecture
• Experience of delivering projects in internal fitout projects such as commercial or residential building fit outs
• Project Management experience in a construction, client or consultancy environment
