The Aquila school opened in September 2018 – initially up to year six and adding a year group each year. In August 2024 we will welcome our first year 12 pupils with a programme of IBDP and IBDC/BTEC. Younger pupils in school follow the English National Curriculum leading to a range of GCSEs delivered in an active, engaging and relevant way.
The school is the flagship school of the International Schools Partnership- a Europe based company with schools all over the world. The school focuses on delivering the English National Curriculum in an engaging and relevant way. Our school vision underpins all aspects of our work- “A happy community school with amazing learning at its heart where pupils are empowered to make choices, engage in meaningful learning experiences and make exceptional progress”. Staff know and follow this vision on a day to day basis – and every pupil knows the three words that matter here – safe, happy and learning.
This is a unique position as it involves laying strong foundations for the successful future of secondary in our school, taking into account the positive foundations already established. The person appointed will need to skillfully establish secondary provision within a common ethos as we are very much one school. Most importantly there is a need not to lose purpose of our raisin d’etre – making sure our children have access to amazing learning all day every day.
This job is especially suited to someone with recent Dubai experience. We have now had three DSIB inspections – we are in the unique position of having no area being graded less than good and a significant number of areas graded as very good – and this is an opportunity for someone with a strong track record to ensure we quickly get to the next level.
